Surprised he had even heard of the Sags in Jan 13.  Weren't they bottom of Div 4 about to be dumped out of the Football League then?

No, that was the following year.

In Jan 2013 we were a very poor Championship club heading back to L1 under the cheerful guidance of Sean O’ Driscoll.

Makes the tweet (if real) even funnier.

"A new technical kit supplier has been brought in, and we have upgraded the ticketing system – we now have cards, electric scanners at the gates as well as improvements to the bars, club shop and the installation of a pitch side LED advertising system and big screen.

How the other half live ehh ?

Basically, they have gone from JD Sports to Sports Direct instead.

wouldn't it be great to have the derbies back next season

who honestly thinks that?

surely over 50% of us.

Apart from the unreal atmosphere in derbies at AG, what is really in it for us? We have absolutely nothing to gain from playing that shite, we’ll be fully expected to win, yet if they did manage to scab a win we’d be hearing of it for the next 20+ years. Let them carry on slipping to oblivion, whilst the club and the deluded few keep making fools of themselves every week.

Well the intriguingly named Dwane Developments UK, sole non-corporate director a Mr Hani Al Qadi and 100% owner a certain Dwane Sports, has followed in the grand family tradition of failing to file its accounts on time.

Now this may of course be an administrative oversight; or it could be that there are some transactions that are being kept from the public view whilst possibe takeover and land purchase talks are underway.

With the caveat that this may be a damp squib as this would be its first accounts filing I'd suggest a read of these accounst when they are eventually published.

Filings page; the accounts were due 30 September 2019.

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/11253528/filing-history

Wiztek, anothe HAQ company, hasn't missed any deadlines so there isn't general administrative oversight going on.  Just specific administrative oversight.

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/10664221/filing-history

To update Dwane Developments UK filed its accounts yesterday and there was nothing to see; two pages of dormant company accounts.

So it was just sloppy admin.

I don’t think the Championship will want them. They are always talking about it being one of the top leagues in Europe and  regularly sell tv rights across Europe. Imagine what a game from the 3 ring circus tents would look like,

The only upside would be if we were playing for the title/promotion and won it against them, doubly so if it relegated them.

The pure emotion would outdo what the expected result was.

Imagine Wael's arse going when he realises he has 3 years to make Chernobyl all seater.

He'll be long gone by then, he probably relishes the idea of promotion purely to be sure they get their money back.

He doesn't have any long term plan/passion for Rovers, it was a construction deal that went sour and the family have been left trying to salvage something from it.

Pretty sure he will remain club President even if he sells the club , or so I'm led to believe.

I've heard that they've already started making arrangements for the promotion party!

Really sporting of them to make plans to celebrate our promotion this season.

I hope Miah leads the Blue Few in a rousing rendition of "Drink up Thee Cider".

But he has put a time limit on it now, something to hold him to. :)

They did the same with the training ground, that date has come and gone.

But of course, the Fewers don't ask questions. Anyone found to not following the party line is outed as a gert Ted and banned from Sagchat.

Time to concede that they really are coming for us, all of them talking of promotion and now their attendances are becoming MASSIVE......

Gates are rising too

Gillingham was 6,370
Rotherham 7,321
MK Franchise 7,864

As a fewer recently pointed out they’ve only played sides with crap followings, so are waiting until the ‘big boys’ visit Chernobyl to boost their ever increasing crowds.

Must check when the big-boys are in town as it has been known to impact my weekend breakfast.

So, on sky’s error this afternoon regarding the Rodri signing for Bristol ‘Rovers’, another absolute belter..........

Breaking news shitheads. For all the money you’ve spent on team and ground and time spent playing at a higher level you still regularly get mixed up with us by fans, national media, and even the people that run the bloody game!

The national media and  fans often mistake Rovers for a football club .

Sky probably just assumed that it was time the Fewers signed someone people might know.

Rather than the usual headline of 'Dreams shattered as The Blue Few can't afford to sign an Irish schoolboy'.

Which I believe happened in the summer.
