You WOULD think any journalist worth his salt would have been "on" this boardroom contretemps a lot earlier than now if this was common knowledge for months. Just shows how in love the EP is with the blue few, not wanting to rock the boat etc.

It`s so obvious what they are doing. When it inevitably goes tits up just like every other pie-in-the-sky stadium idea that they`ve ever had it won`t be because Wally hasn`t got a pot to piss in and can`t get some other sucker to pay for it they will claim that it`s all some Illuminati style conspiracy involving the council, Steve Lansdown, Sainsbury`s and probably Wycombe Wanderers to deprive them of what is rightfully theirs.

Nah, I think BCFC11 misread the context of that post on Gaschat - the guy was actually criticising his fellow gasheads for always playing the victim and thinking the council and SL etc are against them ... nevertheless, you’re right, they’ll still try and blame everyone else, despite what one lone voice of reason said ...

Slarti, you beat me to it. I was thinking isn't strange how what appeared to be an overnight decision is suddenly "obvious" and "being signalled for months", and yet good old Gregor was being the master of diplomacy all this time. @Bristol Rob is wrong, the AQ's don't need another yes man, they already have GMcG.

In fairness G McG is the City correspondent, The sags have their own lickspittle brownose who reports on everything sag, can't remember what his name is. But all come under the auspices of the editorial Sag Post !

So right now they'll say they're listening but actually nothing will happen. They'll say they're forced into admin with no buyers, partly blame if on SH (the obvious scapegoat now imo) and walk off with the deeds to the mem. OR they sell the club but hold on to the mem, rent it back to the new owners..

thats what will happen, they can't borrow any more against the mem, they ether have to dip into their own pocket (won't happen) or put the club in administration (the only way they'll get money back now)

Also there probably won't be a better season to take the points deduction for them . Almost as if all the stars have aligned and their saviour came forth bearing gifts whilst riding a camel..........

Oh hang on.

I’ve posted this before, but I’m happy to re-iterate - I used to work with a guy who was from Liverpool, he was a die hard Tranmere Rovers fan. He moved down to Bristol to work for the Bristol Post (not Evening Post, so the ‘Evil Post’ jokes are still lame) - then he left them to join my company.... and the conversation obviously quickly turned to football, as it does.

He told me, with no axe to grind, that every sports editorial meeting he was in at The Bristol Post made it clear that focusing on Bristol Rovers and ‘bigging them up’ was paramount and he said a reporter was even once sent hundreds of miles to cover the court case of one City fan who’d been arrested at an away game somewhere up North - just to get a negative story about us. And this was common apparently.

As I said, he was from the North West of England, he had no axe to grind, he simply moved down here to further his journalistic career but he was shocked at the bias that was encouraged to favour the gas at editorial meetings,

I know visiting gasheads on here will say that is BS, but that guy is a Tranmere Rovers fan, he has absolutely no reason to lie - he didn’t know anyone when he moved down and I have no reason to doubt him.

He said when he worked at The Bristol Post there was a real emphasis on bigging up Rovers and discrediting City.... just reporting what he said ...

I don’t doubt this whatsoever, would explain their obsession on mentioning how ‘amazing’ the Sags support is every couple of weeks, yet you compare it to the rest of L1 and it’s actually quite shit.
Then with whatever the **** is/has going/gone on over at Chernobyl for the past few months you would of thought they of sent someone over to find out some more info on all these new rumoured takeovers and how someone is finally gonna build the pikeys a ground but there’s next to nothing, or maybe they did and it’s all bad news so never reported a thing? Cannot wait to see their headline when the Administrators are called into the Dump.......

Print That Bastard?

When The Listening Bank turns a deaf ear. And The Bank That Likes To Say Yes tells you to "do one" and has you escorted from the premises.

They were only repeating what the fans were saying.

Gasheads were so desperate to have their own version of Lansdown, as soon as they heard the Al Qadis were from the Middle East they took to Social Media (where the Post get most of their stories) and let their gobs and imaginations run wild.

Bunch of planks, they were wrong again.
