Just read Birmingham City have sold their ground to the clubs owners and been given a 25 year lease to rent the ground back for £1.25 million pound a year

Sold for £22m so the suggested value of £25m for the Mem sounds about right assuming they are a similar size. I wonder what happens after the 25 years is up??

Yep, if you close your eyes they look almost identical

I'm surprised this wasn't already being done with the thousands that go and watch them! Also where is Wormley, Bradley Stone and Cleve?!

So run that by me again?

4 of us club together and get a taxi from our houses to the ground for £10.00 each (£20 there & £20 back) or we walk half a mile in all weather to get a coach for £10.00 plus £1.50 booking fee!

Doesn’t make sense?

Ah, got you, there aren’t any fellow supporters living near me and of course we could organise the proverbial in a brewery anyway – so Gas Travel makes sense.

I see where you are coming from now.

Where the hell is he getting the 25m figure from? And why is that figure somehow higher than Birminghams ground?

Let's forget about the capacity of each stadium for a second and look at the footprint of the stadium,  Birminghams foot print dwarfs the Memorial Grounds footprint and yet using some gas logic the Memorial Ground is worth more?

You see what you've done there is apply rational logic when you needed to apply Gaslogic. It all makes perfect sense then.

The logic might actually be more based in reality than you think... with a couple of glaring omissions by our Blue friend.

Land in Bristol commands quite a premium.

The land the stadium sits on is the only thing with any value (unless you chance upon someone who just happens to want a stadium).

With the debt they have secured against the stadium, the stadium is worthless.

Basically, Wally can get his cash back and leave them homeless.

You have hit the nail on the head there and it is going to happen a lot sooner than anyone thinks.

Even young Alf Garner seems to have sussed it out now.

Finding it hard to sale the club

and get their  money back

will make a bit more if they sale the ground and share with bath city

Not beyond the realms.

Wally isn't going to take a loss, the best the Fewers can hope for is that they don't claim the interest on the credit they've afforded (and is secured against the stadium) so far.

As I understand it the juvenile member of the family (aged 50) would do anything to keep up the pretense of being a football club owner and this is why his elder brother is handling all negotiations which are taking place out of the country.

The latest offer will have to be accepted to enable the 2019 accounts to be finalised.

Cheltenham Town or Forest Green Rovers are likely relocation venues.

If there’s any truth in this Bert , then why are they signing players . Surely there isn’t the budget , even the wages of one and wages/loan fee of the other . It must be just adding to the problems.

The show must go on Stevie.

Leaving Bristol won't mean the end of Rovers, we will just be "a club on the move" again
