That has got to be quite worrying for Rovers "security" team surely?

Monday 23rd March they could find half their "stands" have disappeared as the fairground people thought they were part of the fair and just packed them up with the rest of their stuff by mistake.

To be fair, the fairgrounds kit will probably be better quality and a lot more substantial.

Doubt that they'd want to take that crap with them..

I hadn't considered that - probably very true.

Knowing the rovers penchant for stealing grounds maybe John lock and son better check all their kit is properly accounted for before leaving Chernobyl.

I can see it now. The Evening Post headline:

Bristol Rovers Stadium
Stolen by Travelling Funfair

Bristol City probably to blame

Had another chat to the Mackem lad in work that attended last night’s game at Chernobyl.

He said that behind the terrace where he was stood was some bits of tarpaulin, wire and some old white plastic garden chairs. He turned to his mate and said “Hardly Premier League this is it?”

He said the toilets were all Portaloo’s.

When I told him that they turned one into Santa’s Grotto he didn’t believe me, so I showed him the evidence. He was creasing! ?

I explained it was just one of many gifts that Rovers present us with which is why they are known as the Gift That Keeps On Giving.

When someone mentioned Rovers later in the day he said, “Who? The Gift?”

???

Proof if proof be needed that Wally has splashed the cash.

And he's got the receipt for the £13.06p he spent at Home Bargains, to prove it.

It would probably take 2-3 weeks to realise it had gone.

Might take a stroll over to the chat of gas to see if they are panicking about the lost revenue due to postponement.

Losing 65k per week.

Now loss of gate receipts will bump that up to £65.5k per week.

It'll hardly affect them.

Bloke on the disabled entrance will be well out of pocket

Every time someone mentions this, I think of this track by Half Man Half Biscuit - The Announcement.

He used to wear Trespass and shop at the Aldi
Now he’s the joker in the clubhouse at Caldy
His hair was receding, his face had descended
Now he’s been up to Rodney Street and had it all mended
He used to walk home with a chop suey roll
Now he’s in Sheldrakes devouring his soul
His mate’s got a six-berth in Kinmel Bay
And for the last week in August that’s where he’d stay
But now it’s a fortnight in tropical climes
Raising of lager and here’s to the times
But a worried demeanour as I went through his turnstile
Was clarified later when I heard the announcement

John McNamara
John McNamara
John McNamara
To the cash office please

What revenue was that?

Seriously though, with Wally still unwilling to put his hand in his pocket, this could spell the end of the Sags along with a few more clubs who are living on the edge.

Nice to see Points West showing the new improved Memorial Ground tonight.

It's the sort of temporary thing non league teams have installed when they get a good home draw in the FA cup.

They'll be putting an actual thatched roof on that Thatchers 'stand' next.

All elite football to be suspended until April 4th.

Therefore, Bristol Rovers v Ipswich still goes ahead...?

Wonder if work on their super new Fruit Market Stadium will also be suspended? They must have made significant progress on the construction as Wael announced many months ago that it would be finished within two years, and he’s apparently ‘so nice’ so he surely wouldn’t mislead the sag ‘hordes’ - would he?!

After all, as they keep telling the world, they’ve ‘outgrown the mem’ ...half full = outgrown, sounds reasonable! ??

Ah but you`re forgetting that they also keep telling us that if they had a decent stadium they`d get 25k every week.
