Bristol R*vers dustbin thread

Let’s have another dose of gobbledygook from the Gash website:

Peterborough added a second, in a similar fashion, when Dan Butler found the target from long-range midday through the final forty-five minutes.

The winger managed to dig out and effort from narrow-angle inside the box, but a covering challenge from Dan Butler deflected the chance behind.

A swift turn from the Rovers man saw him shake off his marker before his close-range effort was smoothed by Pym at the near-post.

The game petered out in the closing stages

“Petered out” is perfectly correct.

Oh my God, i hope Bristol Rovers eventually build a stadium better than Wimbledon's new one. A stadium similar to Sunderland's would be ideal. One can always dream.

Right, who on here has managed to register on sagchat and sneak this beauty past the mods and how did you not get banned instantly.

If its genuine..........

Sunderlands is ok but surely with our fanbase and waels money we should be looking to build something like spurs new stadium as a minimum

Spurs stadium only holds 62,303 there would still be tens of thousands that would be locked out! They need to go for the FNB stadium at a minimum as it has a capacity of 94,736

That's gotta be a made up team, surely?!? ?

Teams like this are what the magic of the cup is all about.

The best for that is the early stages of the Scottish FA Cup, it seems sometimes they have local scout groups playing. :)

First Round Draw

Broxburn Athletic v East Stirlingshire

Buckie Thistle v Civil Service Strollers

Caledonian Braves v Rothes

Cumbernauld Colts v Penicuik Athletic

Dalbeattie Star v Gala Fairydean Rovers

Edinburgh University v Lochee United

Forres Mechanics v Banks O’Dee

Fort William v Vale of Leithen

Fraserburgh v Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic

Gretna 2008 v Hill of Beath Hawthorne

Inverurie Loco Works v Wick Academy

Jeanfield Swifts Linlithgow Rose v Huntly

Keith v University of Stirling

Kelty Hearts v Auchinleck Talbot

Nairn County v Clachnacuddin

Spartans v Deveronvale

Strathspey Thistle v Lossiemouth

Turriff United v Formartine United

Did I read something earlier about them getting a fanzone sponsored by Cadbury selling out of date hot chocolate.

Someone needs to tell them that they actually need to have some fans to make a fanzone work

Trust the Post to go OTT with Rovers news. This is described as a “Global Partnership” with Cadbury.  Does this mean that fans from Outer Mongolia can travel to Horfield for a free bar of chocky?
