Bristol R*vers dustbin thread

“Missed every goal this half. Was five minutes late for the start of the second half, and it was already 2-1. Scrolled back through to see the goal, then got up to date to see it was 2-2. Scrolled back again to see the equaliser. Then got up to date to see it was 3-2.”

Always the gift

From their website’s match report:

“Bristol Rovers and Crewe Alexandra have all but been immovable constants in the English Football League but despite that, the two sides haven't met since April 2012, when the Gas suffered a 3-0 defeat at The Alexandra Stadium.”

We all know how they like to over elaborate, bend the truth and rewrite history, but they're never going to get away from that one tiny insignificant detail - Colin Daniels scored against them, in their own away kit,  which relegated them from the football league.

Bristol Rovers and have all but been immovable constants in the English Football League. Oh the gift....

One point outside the bottom four.

Happy days

No, no, no - they told us that Wael’s involvement meant they were the 6th richest club in England (source: YouTube), they told us they would be in the premier league within five years (source: YouTube), they told us “as Bristol’s richest club they would take over our club and their youth team would play at Ashton Gate” (source: YouTube), they told the world Matty Taylor would be sold for £10 million (source: Darrell Clarke)  - we bought him for £300k and they told whoever was still listening that they were “coming for us” ... yet they are still light years behind, how strange ...

For benefit the deluded halfwits from horfield - There has been nothing either "immovable" or "constant" about your membership of the football league. You were NON-LEAGUE fewer than 10 years ago - The dictionary definition of constant from google:
constant
/ˈkɒnst(ə)nt/
adjective
  1. occurring continuously over a period of time.
"the constant background noise of the city"

a situation that does not change.
"the condition of struggle remained a constant"

The level of propaganda from the blue few (even on their official site) would make a North Korean government official blush

Their match reports are so shoddily written that they are always good for a giggle (especially when they lose), but usually it’s just fundamental typos and clumsy phrasing; this really took the biscuit. On a par for spin with the Swindle website a few years back neglecting to mention the teeny detail that the defeat meant they’d be dropping down a division.

Here’s hoping we see the Gash webmaster needing to make the same glaring omission come May. It’s looking a distinct possibility the rate they are going.

Classic Rovers on Twitter today, I wonder how the ‘300 more were locked out’ figure was arrived at?  Did they do a head count?  Did they multiply the actual number by 10, then add 100, then round up to the nearest 100?

I always think of this bloke when I see this reporter’s name. talking episode 19 GIF
