Traveling in huge numbers again I see

3,034 Plymouth at Charlton (a 240 mile journey).

400 Few at Posh (a 174 mile journey).

That's this weekend's L1 West Country numbers....

400 to Peterborough is jolly good - in League One. Well done the Few!

In the Championship, it's fewer than Burton's average away following. Burton being - 24/24 in the Championship - bottom and the fewest for away support.

Phew!

The same as we took to Preston on a Tuesday night.

Now now - you know if we question their ‘loyal and true’ away support they will get very upset and will spit venom whilst demanding we accept that fans of every other team in the world love them and hate us and they will whine on other teams’ forums looking for an ounce of recognition....Posh obviously missed off a zero from the end of that away fans figure...no way the ‘faithful and true’ would only take 400 to a Saturday away game when they laugh at similar followings for us for Friday night away games that are live on Sky...

In fairness we took the same amount to our last away game V Peterborough.

On a friday night, live on sky..!

Still in with a sniff of the Play Offs, win today and they could've been back to just 4 points off a top six place so potentially an important game for them.....and they've got the nerve to take the piss out of us? 407 on a Saturday to the East Midlands is pathetic.

...and they'll still bang on and on about how 'amazing' their away support is.

Well, 2 more than we took to Preston, however we didn't have the luxury of visiting Deepdale on a Saturday afternoon with the option of going by train.

Then we have to put up with berks on here telling us that "Rovers would definitely take more" if they were in our position. Clearly they wouldn't.

We took more on a Friday night on sky at the end of November....

2 weeks before Christmas.

We also took more for the Friday night Sky Televised game at Derby. That game at Pride Park was our 4th away match in 19 days, right after Christmas as well

That must be wrong, having another fantastic season (for them) in league 1, facing a team in and around them in the play offs and they can only take 400? Four hundred?

Are we supposed to believe that in L1 today - leaving aside the bigger clubs like Wigan and Plymouth, with their thousands of followers - are we to believe that Blackpool took more to Milton Keynes, Northampton more to Fleetwood, AFC Wimbledon more to Shrewsbury, and diddly Rotherham more to Southend than Rovers took to Peterborough?

This is madness! Sorcery!

Rovers fans will be delighted to hear that the confidentiality agreement between Rovers and UWE does not apply to delegates at the Coliseum Summit which was held in London this week. And even more so to learn that the elite group of executives who attended the junket can be trusted not to reveal details of those delicate negotiations which are taking place about the redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium.

If only we were all so privileged ...

Fallout of the breakdown of a deal

In any business, not all deals are meant to be a success. How to manage a situation when a deal doesn't go through? In this session, we will learn from the failed negotiations between Bristol Rovers and UWE, what went wrong and why the plug was eventually pulled, and how did Rovers handle the consequences and fallout of the breakdown of the deal. We'll also get a peek into the alternative action plan the club is working on at the moment.
