Do you remember this time last season when they still had the replay at home to Barnet in the 1st round and the roasters on that scabby forum of theirs were already dreaming of getting us in the 3rd round? 🤣

But what was the question..?!

How many of those in the Blackthorn end are directly related by blood...?

or.... How many people has Irene slept with since the Bromley match..?

or... how many seats are there if you add up the capacity of the 17 tent ends, around the Mem..?

I agree with him. It`s not at all likely that a local billionaire businessman in a provincial city would have connections with other local businesses and organisations is it?

I mean, what are the chances?

Blimey, fewer (no pun 😉 intended, honest) than 1,100 supporters from two of our one time major rivals combined for a local(ish)  derby.

Reckon if LJ or SL had put out a call for a groups of Bristol City Carol Singing fans to go out bouncing around the town tonight we'd have mustered better numbers than The Gas & Swindon managed for a game.

Don't knock the ones that stay away, knock the ones that attend in this case, a decent competition has become a PL reserves kick about...I would like to think (god forbid) that if we were ever in this cup again we would stay away and not support it.

It's embarrassing because it's far too many!  The format of this competition is a joke, and an insult to fans.

But how those convictions start to falter the closer to Wembley they get. Talk of a boycott is cheap at these early stages, an easy excuse for a lack of enthusiasm to attend at all. I wonder what an equivalent fixture at an equivalent stage would have generated “pre-boycott”?

I think they need more than 9000 through the door to cover their 65k a week loss.

65k x 52wks = £3,380,000

Divide that by 22 home games, £153,636 (loss per match)

Let's say everyone pays twenty five quid (they won't, assume kids and OAPs pay less).

This means that they need an additional 6145 people paying twenty five quid per home game to cover that weekly loss.

ground capacity is irrelevant.  They can't get anywhere near it.  Anyway, tent sizes are measured in berths, so it is actually a 12,300 berth tented village (ala refugee camp). If this shithole was in France, it would have been dismantled by now.

Their weekly loss is far higher than that now, that was when Higgs was even tighter with the purse strings.

£60k vs £12k at last count; £48k more every single week.

£5k of that differential is the London office but **** knows where the rest is being spent.

The capacity is the figure in green.

Despite having the best start to a season for 2 decades they only fill their tiny stadium by 59.9% on average. How remarkably ‘loyal’ they are....🤣

During our first season back in the Championship we had a reduced capacity of around 15k. We spent most of the season in the bottom 3, getting dicked on a semi regular basis (even after LJ took over) and only secured safety with 2 games to spare yet we had the most ‘full’ stadium outside the Prem. They’ve got no excuse for their shit crowds.

The headers haven't lined up properly.

First column is average attendance, second is lowest for the season so far, third is highest so far.

Yes I worked that out now. This our league by comparison by the way.

image.png.f797033997c32197332d1f966d1762b0.png

We have only had 7 home games compared to the Rovers 9, we have also had more TV coverage of our games. Their total gates over 9 games amount to just over 66k, two more games at our average will take us to over 195k. The Forest game is already looking to be well in excess of 22k on it's own so we could be looking at over 200k after 9 games. Mind the Gap is not a big enough insult anymore.

Sorry to say but you are wrong  it's  only the first two ko rounds (pus the group stages) which remain regionalised before an open draw from the quarter-finals onwards

I see on the Bristol Live website that our Mayor, Marvin Rees says that the council will do all they can to help the gash find a new home, possibly at the fruit market site.

I hope his feelings are shared equally towards Bristol City and all other clubs and sporting institutions.

We and other bodies seem to be able to support ourselves and improve where we can. So should the gash by their own means. This "poor old Rovers" bollocks does my swede in!

Surely it is the same as 82 isn't it? When the Council were going to help us the Sags wanted the equivalent given to them, therefore the same must apply here.......

If I heard it correctly, the woman asking the questions even asked if the Council would give them land to build on to help them, and he said they would have to ask for it first before anything would be done!!!

Personally I cannot see the Council giving away any land whilst there are people without homes in the area, and that same land can be sold to developers - why would they lose money themselves where the funding would help out the City itself???
