Jesus this is terrible. Imagine having to watch this every week.

If you have to watch that tripe every week you'd like wearing a jester's outfit, with an ex player's name who's never played for you on your back as in Windyass, have six fingers, have more toes than teeth, either headbutt or lick windows and be desperate to be loved by all other football fans.

It`s so obvious what they are doing. When it inevitably goes tits up just like every other pie-in-the-sky stadium idea that they`ve ever had it won`t be because Wally hasn`t got a pot to piss in and can`t get some other sucker to pay for it they will claim that it`s all some Illuminati style conspiracy involving the council, Steve Lansdown, Sainsbury`s and probably Wycombe Wanderers to deprive them of what is rightfully theirs.

Nah, I think BCFC11 misread the context of that post on Gaschat - the guy was actually criticising his fellow gasheads for always playing the victim and thinking the council and SL etc are against them ... nevertheless, you’re right, they’ll still try and blame everyone else, despite what one lone voice of reason said ...

Slarti, you beat me to it. I was thinking isn't strange how what appeared to be an overnight decision is suddenly "obvious" and "being signalled for months", and yet good old Gregor was being the master of diplomacy all this time. @Bristol Rob is wrong, the AQ's don't need another yes man, they already have GMcG.

In fairness G McG is the City correspondent, The sags have their own lickspittle brownose who reports on everything sag, can't remember what his name is. But all come under the auspices of the editorial Sag Post !

So right now they'll say they're listening but actually nothing will happen. They'll say they're forced into admin with no buyers, partly blame if on SH (the obvious scapegoat now imo) and walk off with the deeds to the mem. OR they sell the club but hold on to the mem, rent it back to the new owners..

thats what will happen, they can't borrow any more against the mem, they ether have to dip into their own pocket (won't happen) or put the club in administration (the only way they'll get money back now)

Also there probably won't be a better season to take the points deduction for them . Almost as if all the stars have aligned and their saviour came forth bearing gifts whilst riding a camel..........

Oh hang on.

They`ll try after their lawyers examine the EFL admin rules with a fine tooth comb and advise the owners that they have a watertight case for it being applied this season and not next.

I’ve posted this before, but I’m happy to re-iterate - I used to work with a guy who was from Liverpool, he was a die hard Tranmere Rovers fan. He moved down to Bristol to work for the Bristol Post (not Evening Post, so the ‘Evil Post’ jokes are still lame) - then he left them to join my company.... and the conversation obviously quickly turned to football, as it does.

He told me, with no axe to grind, that every sports editorial meeting he was in at The Bristol Post made it clear that focusing on Bristol Rovers and ‘bigging them up’ was paramount and he said a reporter was even once sent hundreds of miles to cover the court case of one City fan who’d been arrested at an away game somewhere up North - just to get a negative story about us. And this was common apparently.

As I said, he was from the North West of England, he had no axe to grind, he simply moved down here to further his journalistic career but he was shocked at the bias that was encouraged to favour the gas at editorial meetings,

I know visiting gasheads on here will say that is BS, but that guy is a Tranmere Rovers fan, he has absolutely no reason to lie - he didn’t know anyone when he moved down and I have no reason to doubt him.

He said when he worked at The Bristol Post there was a real emphasis on bigging up Rovers and discrediting City.... just reporting what he said ...

I don’t doubt this whatsoever, would explain their obsession on mentioning how ‘amazing’ the Sags support is every couple of weeks, yet you compare it to the rest of L1 and it’s actually quite shit.
Then with whatever the **** is/has going/gone on over at Chernobyl for the past few months you would of thought they of sent someone over to find out some more info on all these new rumoured takeovers and how someone is finally gonna build the pikeys a ground but there’s next to nothing, or maybe they did and it’s all bad news so never reported a thing? Cannot wait to see their headline when the Administrators are called into the Dump.......

They were only repeating what the fans were saying.

Gasheads were so desperate to have their own version of Lansdown, as soon as they heard the Al Qadis were from the Middle East they took to Social Media (where the Post get most of their stories) and let their gobs and imaginations run wild.

Bunch of planks, they were wrong again.

But within a couple of days, city fans on here were questioning any proof of his level of wealth, after doing basic research.
The kind of thing that journalists are supposed to do.

No excuse though is it? Just some basic journalism and investigation would have corrected that, it took less than a week for our own forum users to do that.

The annoying thing is that national outlets then took their lead from the BP and we’re making the same mistakes.

@Bar BS3 has made the same point as I was typing.

@Bar BS3

Not making any excuses for the BP, it’s an amateur set up with ‘journalists’ who scan through LadBible on Facebook to find their latest scoops.

Its throughly satisfying that both the Sags and the Post made themselves look like idiots.

I just don't get it. Why would they "bat" for the wrong side. Surely ,if anything they should lean toward the larger fan base, sell more copy etc. Everyone loves a success story (well the press, anyway). It just seems a very poor business model, alienating the far larger readership.................no wonder the Post is failing !

Don't forget Wallys BBC interview on Football Focus was it? When asked "why did you buy Bristol Rovers, when you could have bought any club in the Premiership" and he replied "not all the clubs in the Prem". Trying to make out they had so much wealth certainly never helped matters, but it was proper cringe - and the blue few loved it.....

Purely because the EP editorial has been full of Rovers supporters for decades. They then recruit neutrals who have a bias for the underdog and write stories about City, regardless of whether true or not, because more people would read about city.

Well Shrewsbury certainly missed a trick today, only have themselves to blame by leaving Agent Max on the bench. No chance he’d of conceded 4 against that lot.

They were probably afraid he would buckle under the pressure of 10,000 s*gs all screaming shitheeeeeead in unison and his confidence would be shot for the rest of the season.

In fact, Max probably asked to be dropped as he was terrified of them.

Earlier today the gas manager was being interviewed by AD on Radio Bristol. I couldn’t believe my ears when he said “we aren’t a team that creates many chances, we just aren’t that sort of footballing team ...”

A pro football manager admitting that his team aren’t set up to create chances! What sort of f@cked up message does that send to their ever-dwindling number of supporters?! He should be sacked for that statement alone. However, if he was sacked a career in stand up comedy awaits as he went on to say “the club has things in place that will take a while to come to fruition” - with subliminal references to the Fruit Bowl Stadium like that, Michael McIntyre will be quaking in his boots ...🍷

They really need to step up their peg production, and lets not forget they'll be raking it in next month as sales of festive holly will be going through the roof again.

(ever more popular tumble dryer and washer dryer ownership has understandably hit clothes peg sales hard since the 70's which has obviously threatened their overall viability - sadly their brief foray into nipple clamp manufacture flopped when the anticipated upsurge in popularity of boob cricket failed to materialise due to legal rulings in the British Court system.)

Cant imagine what they'll do with any leftover stock of Christmas holly though,  oh yeah, I know!

R I P wreaths might be popular in the not too distant future.

According to the evil post, Cockman is hoping to spend the zillions they have made from their miraculous progress in the EFL Cup and to the dizzy heights of round 2 of the FA Cup on bringing in a ployer are two in January.  I have a feeling that Wally is about to tell him "sorry mate, but those incredible feats aint even enough to cover our losses and I'm afraid that we are going to have to let JCH go to cover them (did I mention his release clause?)".  Never mind, you've still got Tom Nichols 😃
