Bristol Rovers Dustbin Thread

Can't believe that, 5 year contract then walk away with nothing?

Sounds like BS, smells like BS

I'm only telling you what was said by presenter on the radio programme. You are of course allowed to not believe it. Perhaps you are correct and it is bullshit.  He did however do his best to get sacked, with various public moans and, if you or I were sacked, would we get compensation? Especially if we'd bad mouthed the bosses policy and lack of investment publicly. I expect he was asked to resign.

So I’ve been told, who gets a fair share of inside info on both local sides, it appears they are withholding or (not intending) to pay the invoices owed to their contractors/suppliers again. *allegedly*

"in force". phrase. When Rovers fans do something in force, they do it in large numbers. New members of the GHS turned out in force for their first taste of looking like *****.

Comedy hour on radio Bristol where the gas new manager has just said that he doesn’t need new signings and the ground and training ground don’t need to be changed. He actually said that their facilities are on a par with the teams in league one and much better than Sheffield Wednesday! And they all rang in to thank him. You couldn’t make this crap up.

Didn't some commercial guy at Rovers state in the summer that they and Spurs had put more into ground redevelopment than any other clubs, or did I dream that?

Either way, the Blue Few seem to have overcome their issues far more quickly...

Some vertically challenged Sags to the right of that picture, potentially a handful when considering "angry little man syndrome".

Wonder if they had a few pints in that boozer, or went straight on the shorts...

Does anybody know if Rovers have a transfer section on their Gaschat site?

If so, does it cover incoming players, or, just outgoing players?

Would be a pretty shit and pointless thread wouldn’t it. Some were seriously wondering why the club wouldn’t match Preston’s offer of £750k for Jayden Stockley of Exeter.

£750,000???? Over double their record transfer fee from 25 years ago 😂😂😂

Their delusion shouldn't surprise anyone now but, it continues to reach new heights and frequently.

Well, given there’s a garden shed, close boarded wooden fence and a converted shipping container in the background, I’d have to agree with you.

Pushing design boundaries for football stadia.

Nothing Ragbag about that Club.

Weren't they playing Port Vale at the Mem when a wayward shot nearly brought down part of their 'stadium'?

Pompey (I think, maybe) City fanantic Harrison’s shot broke off part of their guttering nearly hitting someone 😂

We we’re both wrong, was Port Vale, here’s what he said after visiting Chernobyl.....

A Port Vale fan who visited in September 2016

"The away end is covered, but by a plastic tent thing, which seemed quite temporary. The seats were right by the home Family Stand.

"Early in the first half a drain pipe on our stand was hit by a wayward shot from a Bristol Rovers player and it crashed to the floor. Luckily no one was hurt. The rest of the Memorial Stadium looked impressive."
