Never to the dark side
Walking out of the game, the Winterstoke car park with car engines running then across to KFC why visit KFC and the retail outlet at 4:30pm? over to Sainsburys loads of cars with their engines running and all wanting to leave just after the match has finished. Take a tip don't come anywhere near Ashton Gate on match days unless your coming to the game Then look at the amount of cars coming from Hotwells towards Ashton Gate why note cone off where you drop down by the former Mercedes garage and head towards the David Lloyd centre and up to Bemmy down via the new link road Standing outside of the Robins pub, there are as many cars going one way as they are the other So for all those who live hotwell side park that side of the stadium and for all those who live Hartcliffe way side park that side of the stadium Congestion sorted To sum it all up Parson street train station is still available before and after the game on saturday. CotswoldRed
Unfortunately Brits tend not to enjoy the places (houses) where they live. I barely meet a single person who can resist driving somewhere at every opportunity, seemingly to get away from their shoe-box existence. Very different on the continent. Would make sense to give the driving a miss around Ashton Gate if you aren't at the game.

BCFC11
It’s the to$$ers parking on both sides of the road by KFC that cause all the problems at the Winterstoke Rd exit, parked on double yellows, on a roundabout and it forces everyone down to one lane instead of 2. Wrongagain
The retail car park seem to have stopped ticketing cars parked on match days - this together with the delayed city exit has caused chaos together with taxis clogging up the Kfc roundabout, that should be sorted by the police! Thought we had cracked it last time, went shopping after the game! It still took an eternity to get out of winterstoke and queued for ages just to clear the 370, only problem with that is I have to get home to take medication ,which I can’t do if I’m driving! I can understand why the winterstoke exit is closed to allow pedestrians to clear, but it really pisses me off that quite a few actually block the exit waiting for their passengers to leave the stadium! All the effing dog walkers must be really happy they prevented the building of the new stadium, **** progress let’s carry on and complain about congestion! After the Reading game two Police officers were stood on the Island chatting to each other, they should be asking these people to move. Still amazes me that people decide to go shopping in the retail park at the same time 20k people are leaving the stadium.

Lanterne Rouge
It always makes me laugh when hundreds of us are crossing the road up by the Cumberland Basin and drivers have to stop to let everyone across - they always have the same look on their faces which says `oh ****, the football`s on. Why ever did I come this way?` Occasionally you get a belter who screams up aggressively to the crossing throng expecting us to get out of the way but realises their mistake when several people let them know the error of their ways.
