Derby Are Staying...

Pretty sure this has a very good record for motivating and galvanising players. Please don't chance it, let them sleep and soften them up for tomorrow.

With that said the old Bristol & West lifts in there only fit two at a time so that will be enough to trigger then all, as it will take them two hours to get to their rooms and the same to get to breakfast.

Genuine question - is it routine for clubs to stay in a hotel the night before the game when it’s a 3pm kick off and only a 2.5 hour journey?

Would City do the same for the reverse fixture?

I’m sure City travel up the day before for most games bar the likes of Reading & Cardiff.

City even stayed in a hotel last Thursday before the Reading game.

To be honest I’d hope so. It’s a bit of a bonding exercise, a chance to monitor sleep and nutrition pre match and if nothing else given you could negotiate preferential rates at a couple of chains I imagine the cost is pretty minimal.

Most away teams stay at The Holland House Hotel on Redcliffe Hill when they play us ...

Away teams also use the Aztec West Hotel (god knows why) and the Grand in broad street.

But Radisson on the City Centre ? Odd choice.

and when I have to stay away following my team

I can only afford to stay at Auntie Gladys and Auntie Doris £20.00p a night accomodation.

Gladys AND Doris !

To be fair £20 is pretty good for a threesome
