Robbored
On the OS now. As expected Adam Webdini wins the main award and Josh Brownhill the young player award.Wieman's hatrick was the champagne moment. Smiling pictures of Webdini and his award with LJ and a smiling Mike Adams who the picture says is a the founder member of the SC&T. Well...he might be the founder member of the Trust but the not the Supporters Club that was founded just after WW2............... I wonder why there was no awards event as there used to be? Well...he might be the founder member of the Trust but the not the Supporters Club that was founded just after WW2............... I wonder why there was no awards event as there used to be? Very simple reason: because the outcome of the season (and thus winner of the Top Goalscorer award) is still up in the air and the final regular league game is away from home, so handing over the awards, for example, on a stage in the fan zone after the final game of the season was not really an option. And if it was left until after a potential play-off final, where and when would you do it? Especially if we lost? Various options were considered and, given the exceptional circumstances this season, this was considered the best way of doing things. Webster and Brownhill will be duly acclaimed over the PA pre-match, so over 20,000 fans will get the chance to give them a cheer. The Champagne Moment will also be played out on the big screens and the Supporter of the Year will receive their award pitchside pre-match. Arrangements will be made to present the Top Goalscorer award to the winning player after we've played our last game of the season (and there could - hopefully! - yet be 6 more play and who knows how many goals!).
