Free or heavily subsidised Travel to Hull?

Now that there is against expectations a chance of the last playoff place- at the very least it has gone to the last day.

Should the club make strong consideration towards free or heavily subsidised coach travel? Both as a thank you and to provide the fans with that best chance of being that 12th man.

It's not my original suggestion- other people posted about it within the last week, but I think if tomorrow morning or afternoon they announced this!

Millwall have done it for Wigan away this Sunday- £5. Nottingham Forest did it for QPR away- free, all who had purchased refunded.

The second was a dead-rubber, the first was quite possible to be one.

This is a big big game, albeit a scenario in which we still are outsiders for the last place- should the club do this?

They should, they won’t.

when was the last time that happened?

I know- I know...

@cidercity1987 Any idea why Nottingham Forest decided to refund fans and give free travel to QPR for a dead-rubber? Or Millwall to Wigan- football, it's an expensive past-time these days!

it's not about the cost as such though, it's about 12th man, backing- marginal gains.

If the fans cant get up for this game and pay their way then there is no hope

I don’t think it’s about that. It’s about fans not being able to afford under normal coach prices c£100 for a family of four to get there and money isn’t easy for everyone. And with that thought in mind, and the players needing our backing, it’s about the club facilitating that.

Our online betting company sponsors could pay as well of course....

And the fact some fans will be getting up at 3am to travel up there!!

Couldn't agree more.

It is a casino built for you of course...

(if you wanted a way to lose your money, life and missus from your laptop in your bedroom, that is)

The only casino I’d like is one I owned.

No need to do that now. Will sell out regardless.

The games to do it is on a Tuesday night where we’re expecting 300 fans.

Well Marinakis at Nottingham Forest did it on a Saturday away to QPR in a dead-rubber which isn't even so hard to get to from Nottingham. Following your logic, it was fairly pointless of him to do so.

@BCFC11

1) Football an expensive business.

2) Likely to encourage more fans.

3) Other clubs have done it- for games that meant less.

4) It's excellent PR- club maybe could do with a little after the silliness over Easter Eggs? Overblown but we know how the media are.

5) The earliest train from Temple Meads Sunday according to National Rail is 7:45am. That arrives in Hull at 1.22pm- kickoff 12.30pm.

It is not too late- Nottingham Forest announced it 2 days maybe even 1 day before the game, refunding all who had purchased and paying for the rest.

Not sure why there is this sudden demand from quite a few for ‘free travel’ for one surely its far too late to arrange such a thing and two is anyone really that bothered if the club do or don’t? Car, train, Plane, Bike or whatever just get to Hull and give the boys our full support.

I get all your points @Mr Popodopolous but my main point was that surely it’s far too late to arrange it all? It’s only 4 days until the game, coach company’s already booked, and most would of decided if they were going or not and made other plans, and with CATS leaving at 5am I’m pretty sure not many would fancy getting up that early just to save a few £’s.

Fair- maybe logistically it would rule it out.

Only 2 of the allocated 5 blocks sold so far, not a chance on earth we will sell the rest.

Remember also tickets are ONLY on sale until 3pm tomorrow !
