Mr Popodopolous Posted May 4, 2019 Report Share Posted May 4, 2019 All good signs. I think I read somewhere a while ago our Commercial revenue was in top 6 in this division last season. Credit to Kieran Maguire and his Twitter/Price of Football. 5th but results of Sunderland may have been close commercially- think we were ahead of them! The clubs due to declare accounts are Bolton and Sheffield Wednesday. Hence for last season, our commercial revenue would be 7th at worst and likely 5th or 6th. Mr Popodopolous Posted May 5, 2019 Report Share Posted May 5, 2019 Interesting but unsurprising to note too, that for all that Mick McCarthy did a solid job at Ipswich and one year making playoffs very good indeed, for all his solid work Ipswich's turnover last season was higher than Brentford, Millwall and Preston. All finished higher than Ipswich- last 2 in playoff picture until late into last season, Brentford though outside chances played significantly better football than Ipswich. He did well there, don't get me wrong but some of the criticisms perhaps had merit and he wasn't a full-on miracle working messiah as some might claim.
