Davefevs
@BessexRED out of interest, is the person who told you, pretty close to LJ? I guess if you say anymore on here, you won’t get told anything else? Am I right?

If clubs look at players who have just missed out on playoffs or promotion then, by the same thinking, surely they look at Managers who have narrowly missed out too? So it wouldn’t be a complete shock if someone like Johnson was being linked to jobs. Yeah but Fulham Brighton West Brom? Not seen him mentioned by bookies or fans of those 3 clubs but happy to stand corrected.

Do you reckon any of the clubs mentioned would come in for LJ ? All the hints about previously being able to jump ship and showing loyalty is bollocks in my opinion because unless there was a government media blackout we would have heard about it. LJ can be satisfied with the last season but he hasn't achieved anything that would tempt any club with reasonable expectations of promotion to, or staying in, the Premier League. EnderMB
Historically, Premier League clubs don't come sniffing around coaching from a division they want to avoid ike the plague. Brighton would be a great project for numerous young managers on the continent, and if Brighton are willing to spend some money they could get a far better coach than LJ. Sadly, the Premier League is not a forgiving place for British coaches, and if someone like LJ is looking for a step up in his career he'd probably be better off going the opposite direction - taking a job on the continent. Sounds like a done deal. I don’t know how big the market is for this sort of bet but if it’s any real size they’ll need to be laying off to ensure they don’t get burned. Pezo
Don't forget bookies don't "know" it's just a time weighted probably algorithm based on the bets being placed so if couple hundred people read this and think it's worth a 10er then that will make him favourite quite quickly.
