Won’t take long for some ‘wag’ to change a letter in his surname if he turns out to be shite.....

Saw a bit of him last season, seemed quite good but obviously playing against lower league clubs. Talk about ambition

Presumably the ambition to be sustainable and not get into the financial mess of certain other Championship clubs. He is a pretty decent player at Level 6, and if he doesn’t quite make it, we won’t have lost much.

Off to Cheltenham town on loan

Was going to say surely signed to be loaned out to a football league club.

Cheap gamble perhaps. Let’s be honest, if he goes on to have any sort of decent career and he hadn’t have snapped him up people would moan that he was right on the door step and we missed a trick.

Plenty of players make a late move into the pro ranks & do well..

I remember Swindon signing Bryan Wade from bath when he was 22/23 and working as a stonemason!...,managed to 'carve out a career for himself ? ..

Tony Book didn't turn out too bad did he.

One for the future (?) blokes 21 ...?

Only 8 21-year-old CBs started at least half (23) of their club’s league games this season in the Championship.

6 if not counting Premier League loanees.

0 CBs under-21 started this many.

Seems a similar age and background to another CB, Aden Baldwin, and now apparently following the same loan path to Cheltenham.

Anyone know the latest on Baldwin - bad knee injury in October playing for Cheltenham, haven't seen any updates since.

Tiny percentage if you presume that 4 CBs start each match. What's the average age of a starting CB? I'd maybe guess it to be 28.

Our CBs this season were generally pretty young. Webster at 23/24 and Kalas I think 25/26?

Still injured but under contract.

Late developer?  Thought Pro game passed him by?  Big chance?  Last chance?

Bit like Flint!

Also Ashley Barnes, Tyrone Mings, Jamie Vardy, Ian Wright. Am sure there are plenty more!
