This jumped out; it backs what people have been saying: that a generation of Bristol is going to be red.

We're interested in results and coaching the players but things like that behind the scenes are absolutely massive for a club like Bristol City. 30 per cent of our support are under 19-year-olds - so they've had a memorable season with some of the games you've just mentioned there.

Very true, although Rovers do appear to have one up on us by “grooming” the youth in other areas, such as safe houses, re-hab  facilities, young offenders institutes and soup kitchens.

Seems like the sort of bloke you could have 10 pints with and a proper chat about the game!

Spoken to him at Charlton Farm a couple of times and he is genuinely a lovely bloke.  He is one of those guys who can traverse the “fan v footballer” difficult conversation by talking about non-football, and asking about you, and not making it a one way chat.

"There was that late goal against Wigan and the draw at home to Ipswich, and everybody looks at individual moments in games and rightly so: if we'd have put those results to bed we'd have probably made the play-offs"

Yep, those were the games alright.

I also spotted reference to Webster as a leader. Surely he has to be club captain next season?
