Local derby

They'd kick lumps out of our players and take pride from doing so.

Also as others have said, we have nothing to gain from doing it. Forest Green will be the closest we get. Probably get a better game out of them as well to be fair.

Yes you are mistaken, they did not phone for a police escort .

Very good use of the truth there Julie, you'd make a great politician. Maybe you should challenge Sue the baker's daughter for her job!

However, did they stop a passing patrol car and ask for an escort?

As we only have a chance of getting GASH at the MIGHTY Ashton Gate, is in a cup

Would anybody want a friendly at start of season?

No thanks.

Absolute no win game for us. Used to enjoy Derby games in the 90s when we were in the same division as them. These days though if we win they'll bang on about how it's "expected" and then claim a 'moral victory' for singing their boring shit anthem a few times. Anything other than heavy defeat for the Sags and we'd never hear the end of it.

I wouldn't put it past one of their Sunday League cloggers to try and make himself the hero of Slags everywhere by clattering someone like Brownhill, Webster or Fammy and finishing their season before it's even started.

I'm sure they didn't either, they did what most two bob mobs do, and that is make a lot of noise in a pub and wait to be escorted which is of course what happened, with the associated public order issues arising out of walking them past a pub chock full of aggressive city fans. They should have been held back until 8pm when the majority of home fans would have dispersed to watch the game. A patently provocative approach by both away fans and OB, both relying upon the other to get the result they sought.

Same thing would happen again which is why we should never entertain them unless compelled to do so by a cup competition.
