Bank Holiday Friday

Recommended Posts

The powers that be have decided to change next year's May Day Bank Holiday to Friday 8th to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

Seems a little odd, if well intentioned, to move a public holiday. Perhaps we might have a day put aside to celebrate football success as well. A day off on July 30th, anyone?  :winner_third_h4h:

They should have kept the Monday bank holiday and given us an extra day on the Friday.

Got to keep the workers in line mate. Just think of the cost to the economy of an extra day off.

After all, who`s going to pay for the Brexit shambles if not the people who actually work for a living.

True. They can give us an extra bank holiday to celebrate William’s wedding but us plebs should not get used to such things.

Exactly. Give us an extra BH now and we`ll all expect another one for the 100th anniversary in 2045.

These things need to be nipped in the bud.

It doesn’t matter, none of us will have jobs when Brexit happens remember.
