Unan
If they win the world cup, would be great for the women's game to have him along side Bobby Moore

cider hoss rules
Why? there isn't one of Sir Alf Ramsey at Wembley. If convention is followed, it would be of the captain.

Admin phantom Posted June 27, 2019 Admin Report Share Posted June 27, 2019 I would imagine possible something at St Georges Park? Was the Bobby Moore statue not as much as a memory to it being won at Wembley Stadium?
CotswoldRed
A statue of a bloke to mark an achievement in the Women's game? That'll go down well. Mind you, it would mark a change in public perceptions and values. The England Powerchair football team won the European Championships, beating World Champions France in the final, only a few weeks ago. That didn't even get a mention in the Disability Sport section of the BBC website, let alone a statue! And it's the fastest growing sport in the world today. Donning my pedant hat for just a moment, Bubbles is a chimpanzee (I typed "was" previously, wiki suggests he may still be alive.) Chimpanzees are great apes, not monkeys. Hat off. As you were, people.
Paulton Red
They could save money creating a new statue of Phil Neville and just use the statue of Ronaldo. https://images.app.goo.gl/NAXdnidcZnFzBdoP6
Oh Louie louie
I wasnt expecting to get into a debate on primatology on this thread, or was i expecting to be accused of being a fan of mike jackson. This has not panned out as expected.

sephjnr
Even if it's more likely that they'd have a player, it needs saying that the last name you'd think of being the first '92-er to win a trophy as manager would be Phil Neville.
