Just thinking what we could buy

Like kids with their pocket money, must spend asap. We could always hold onto some of it to cover losses, or to make purchases in January. Key thing is to spend any money wisely.

Yep, spend wisely and it could almost guarantee a top six finish, perhaps even more.

Exactly, just look at the way the club has progressed, improving league positions, young talent coming through, scouts looking at our players, solvent, sustainable. We are getting it right.

Plus we wont get 25m if we owe Ipswich a rumoured 20%

If its £20m upfront and their sell on is 20% then we get around £16.8m upfront and potentially owe them another mil if the add ons are reached.

A £7million defender and an £8 million striker, with the rest of the money banked for a rainy day.

Unfortunately, I have no idea who the above men should actually be.

Could always spend it differently.

On 2-3 high calibre loans- with one big permanent signing. The positive of that is two fold- if we stay down the loans expire and a cost is removed- which combined with £25m loss coming off the books means headroom to really consider our options.

A second good aspect here is we could sign 2-3 high calibre loans, owing to a mix of money in the bank and significantly improved headroom, to get them with an option/obligation to buy.

Example- Cavaleiro and Knockaert at Fulham.

Also Costa at Leeds.

We have scope to be creative! Have to spend wisely though, however it's done.

But we won't buy promotion. To little time to rebuild defensive partnership at the back even if we get a replacement

When did kalas come in last season? Was it just a day or two before the season started?

Nope, came in after that- as did Da Silva.

In the case of Kalas certainly and potentially Da Silva not a luxury we would have what with the transfer deadline for even loans bring aligned with the main one.

23rd August 2019 for Kalas a quick search suggests.
