Bringing forth the three spirits in the form of points, our festive celebrations could finally begin, even if our Fam’s popper wouldn’t quite perform. God bless us, every one! Instead, as we’re about to enter the FA Cup on Saturday, a New Year Cup seems fitting (#NYC for the tagging aficionados amongst you). You don’t need to do anything different, pick a team as usual, but you will be pitted against another manager in a knockout format until we can crown a winner. If entries only come from our most regular eight players, I might “seed” it (i.e. 1 v 8, 2 v 7 etc.), but as it’s a limited scope and previous points/league standings don’t matter (magic of the cup, eh?) it may tempt back @Septic Peg, @NNSnse, @hodge, @Tom Fleuriot and @LeeJohnsonsFlatCap... or any brand new players, of course. Spread the word! Will probably do a few more cups before the season’s out, so don’t fret if you miss out on this one. I said don’t fret. STOP FRETTING.
