AshtonPark
@Robbored https://www.bristol-sport.co.uk/news/ashton-gate-sound-system-upgrade/ We are pleased to announce that installation of a new sound system at Ashton Gate is underway. Working with internationally renowned sound specialists Vanguardia and SSE Audio Group we hope fans will notice the improvements in sound quality over the coming month. Mark Kelly, Managing Director of Ashton Gate said: “We’ve been working hard over the off-season to find the best solution to the problem with the speakers in the Dolman Stand and in other pockets of the stadium where sound isn’t as good as it could be. “Today will see the first use of the new sound mixing desk which has been integrated into our media control room with a phased install of new speakers throughout the Dolman and Lower Lansdown Stands later this month. “We hope fans will notice the improvement over the coming weeks and our commitment to provide the best matchday experience possible.”

t_b
Why not do it in the past six weeks when there has been no football so it could launch before the first game? It was utter shit today in the Dolman. Music alright but the new sound mixer must've had all the mics turned down because I couldn't hear a word anyone said. And yet again - get bloody subtitles on videos we show of interviews etc. Just do it!

Mr Popodopolous
@AshtonPark is doing more liaising on here in this thread alone than the new SLO. The funny thing is (AFAIK) they're not even a club official/staff member! ☺

Taz
“We hope fans will notice the improvement over the coming weeks and our commitment to provide the best matchday experience possible.” So if you can't hear any improvement, it's because it's not finished yet. I SAID, IF YOU CAN'T HEAR ANY IMPROVEMENT, THEN IT'S BECAUSE IT'S NOT FINISHED YET. Alternatively, wash your ears out.

How soundwaves ‘behave’ and how sound is heard changes based on environmental factors - such as the number of people in the crowd. It would be impossible to replicate the environment of a near-full stadium in pre-season. That said, I don’t know why it’s taken this many years to fix. Hope they get it sorted. Desso
Official site states that a new main control deck plus new speakers in the Dolman are to be installed during the next few weeks. The sound is expected to be a lot better towards the end of the month. Well done the club, but about flippin' time.
