translation:

Possible future in England for Adam Nagy. The midfielder is leaving Bologna and likes Bristol, which thinks about it concretely and offered a four-year deal. Work in progress. The Bristol tries, in the viewfinder is Nagy.

"Possibile futuro in Inghilterra per Adam Nagy. Il centrocampista è in uscita dal Bologna e piace al Bristol che ci pensa concretamente e ha offerto un quadriennale. Lavori in corso. Il Bristol ci prova, nel mirino c’è Nagy..."

"There could be a possible future in England for central midfielder Andy Nagy. He would leave from Bologna and would like to go to Bristol city for a 4 year deal.
Work is in progress. Bristol city are trying hard, it seems Nagy is in their crosshairs..."

If he did come it'd be interesting to see a midfield three of Nagy and Han sitting - Brownhill in front, with Nketiah up top with Elliasson and Wiemann on the wings.

Quite small group of players that though mind

No way Pack will be missing out  ?

I would love it if he signed purely because on one of my FM saves he captained us to promotion and retired at the club after eleven years having smashed out a couple of CL finals. I can attest that the digital version of him is the bee’s knees.

Oh yeah I think he’s meant to be quite good at football too in the real world

Likes Bristol? Clearly signing for the Gas now Wael of Fortune has loosened the purse strings. :)

On a side note, there is quite a big "Nagy" (pron Nage) family in bedminster, I used to work with one of them.

Had a year in Budapest watching some pretty poor football, the highlight being watching  Sebok at Ujpest.

Think Nagy might be pronounced “Nodge”

based on the phrase hagy vagy (meaning how are you?) being pronounced hodge vodge.

Back in the real world, the rain has stopped and the sun is now shining over Ashton Gate.  Eddie on the roof yet?!

Midfield general for me in FM too - titles galore with Torino - when I quit to manage League One Bristol City in a preposterous sentimental move there was no way we were ever signing the great Adam Nagy!

We need another’s midfielder in the CDM mould for sure. Smith’s days at this club could well be over, has spent so much time injured to suddenly come back and play at championship level.

Pack cant play 46 games like he did last season, burns out in a midfield two and struggles against high intensity midfield threes.

Nodger.

He'll fit right in.

Mmm... not exactly a signing to get the blood pumping from that description.

'Nagy is a player whose qualities are not easily noticeable...his greatest asset is his footballing intelligence..... he doesn't score goals, put in brutal challenges, rarely wins the ball back by force..... but has an exceptionally sharp understanding of tactics and the under-the-radar aspects of the game. He isn't instinctive or impressively physical.. he rapidly releases the ball contributing to the fluidity of his teams ball possession.... quick, sharp thinking player who works tirelessly to shut down passing options and anticipate the opposition's moves...non risky and seldom losing the ball..... he moves relentlessly into space to liberate passing options for his team mates. He has the mentality of a coach..as if he is able to witness the game from an external perspective."

OK, probably fine for a DM  (and a very good 5-a-side player no doubt) as long as we have others in midfield who can create, score and tackle because as good as he may be at what he specialises in, he doesn't seem to have those qualities in his armoury.

Hard to get excited about signing a defensive midfield player, but in Nagy's case someone you barely notice but who makes everyone around him perform better perhaps? :fingerscrossed:

Sounds like he'll press and nick the ball back quickly giving it to a more creative player like palmer or the French lad.
