Arriving into New St about midday.

Not done St Andrews before but been told to drink near station not the ground.

Anyone know a good one in the centre? Where we all going?

Cheers

For the discerning Cider drinker, head out on to New Street and up the hill towards the Birmingham Museum. On the left near the top of the hill you'll find the Post Office Vaults. It's a single doorway off the street and down a flight of stairs. They normally have between 20 and 30 ciders on tap and bottle.

Other good Birmingham central pubs are The Wellington, The Old Joint Stock or The Sun on the Hill.

I would ask whoever told you to drink near the station which pub they advise

As for "Where we all going?" . . . . . I assume that you are travelling alone, otherwise this is a bit sad !!

I work in Birmingham.

Head of steam is a glorious place. But I don't know what their match day rules are. Same goes for the rest of the pubs. New pub just opened opposite head of steam called flight club, literally only a fortnight ago. These two are on the same road is the trocadero.

Post office vaults is a great shout, as is the old joint stock.

The Anchor inn is a good traditional pub it's on the corner of the coach station. Had a great time in there last time we went. If you walk up 100 metres and you come across the white swan and then after that another 100 metres, turn left you come to the spotted dog. Nice little pub crawl if they're still open.

The only cider they got in the head of steam is stowford press at £4.40. Some of the beers are a bit pricey aswell.

Ooohhh, don't let them hear you say that. Hahaha

Hopefully they'll arrive at New Street then just jump on the local train or tram to the hawthorns. Maybe the police will escort them there.
