Back in the day the successful recipe of Alan Dicks was to combine a handful of Bristolians, with a handful of Scots and sprinkle in a few others.......

Looks like our new mixture, a la LJ, could see us playing an Australian, Finnish, Austrian, Czechoslovakian, Hungarian, Senalise, Portuguese, Frenchman and Swede, along with a couple of Brits!

Who are the two Swedes? You could also add an Irishman to that list ...

Many clubs have a plethora of foreign imports - it’s the evolution of the game that has been particularly  rapid over the last 25 years or so.

I hope that actually means the team spirit is strong as everyone has a different background, no one is really an outsider and the football / winning is the bond

Not sure about the "Senalise" though if we are being picky. My wife happens to be Sinhalese - bats at 5, can play the Dilshan scoop and bowls decent off cutters - but no real footballing background. The Sentinelese are not great mixers with others / team players either, as i understand it.

If Ashley Williams signs we can add a Welshman to this list and of course an Irishman in the shape of COD.
