Going to Charlton if we sign a striker ourselves.

You’d think he’d on the road not sat in his pants eating popcorn with 5 hours left, guess things can be done in principle over the phone with photos etc done later

Shouldn’t he be training with the rest of the squad?

Maybe injured / ill.

Can't see him going anywhere unless we have a striker coming in.

Matty Taylor will be leaving us unfortunately. He was waiting on Leko signing for charlton before he committed for the season. Him and Leko have a very good friendship. Be sad to see the snake go.

Having a good time?  ******* pathetic.

Apparently he was just boarding a train into London from Temple meads as reported my Gregor, hopefully means we have a striker very close to signing.

Can’t see a Tweet from Gregor to his effect? 🤔

Bit like Pack, whatever you think of him as a player, in Matty’s case, he’s gonna be really important to keep around off the pitch.  Everyone’s mate, a catalyst for squad harmony.

Wish they could pay me eight grand a week to be cheery around the dressing room

I’d crack a few winning one-liners and grin a lot ...

Exit signs? They’re on the way out ...

Advent calendars? Their days are numbered ...

That’ll be eight large please ...

(ps: I’m sure I heard Matty T was on 12k p/w - even so ...)

Matty off to Oxford I’m told, was at their game today.

Isn't he from Oxford? Wouldn't be surprised if he's just there as a fan mind.

Tbh he is only going to get a move to a smaller champ club at best. If there is a good L1 club out there it would probably be good for him to go there. I have no problems keeping him around though until January. He won’t play but I feel he is a better partner for Afobe than Weimann. Better with Fam too.

Works hard but not good enough unfortunately

You can say that from about 250minutes game time?

Guys stats are pretty damn good when he plays atleast half a game for goals and assists. We will simply never know if he was good enough due to the guys long term injurys he had and a manager playing dave the donkey over him

Dave the donkey is a far more effective striker than Taylor. Him going to oxford is the best thing for everyone.

So.......Matty Taylor was seen at Oxford United and some see that as a sign that he’s going to join Oxford........Has it not dawned on them that Oxford is Matty Taylor’s home town and he could well have been there to visit relatives or (god forbid) watching his home town team play?............:dunno:

Is this going to be a loan deal?

If it happens, it must be a loan....although it could be loan with option or obligation to buy.

Why? League 1 clubs have until the end of the month to register new players

Taylor is a professional footballer and will undoubtedly know many people within the game. He could have been invited along, or is acquainted with the Oxford manager - possibly both.

He’s leaving on loan to a league one club, he’s not needed at City hence why he wasn’t in the squad yesterday. It’s not like it’s its a first time regular who’s not leaving is it.....
