Yes and no.

We struggled to get our half, but until they scored there was no real threat at all. The goal itself was a very good one, and after that it was more nervy, but in the first 40 minutes of the second half they created nothing of note.

Exactly right. Rock solid defensively second half up until a very good individual Derby goal. Lots of possession, but they did very little with it. Nervy at 1-2 naturally, but in my book we deserved the win. Some top individual performances. Massengo; Moore; Baker; in fact all the back three. Very happy with that, especially in the light of another massively unlucky injury situation.

Solid performance,superb win.

The most positive notes from my point of view were Moore (a rock),Massengo (impressive) and Palmer (intelligent play).

COYR!!!

Very.

Shocking he is only 18; think we’ve got ourselves quite a find here.

A great win - it’s just a shame we don’t seem able to pass the ball around safely when leading. Every other team seems to do it to us - but tonight in the second half all we seemed to do was get rid (very well) of the ball out of defence only for it to be given away almost immediately- there seemed no ability to put the proverbial foot on the ball and keep possession to take the pressure off for a few minutes.

That said - a great 3 points

Brownhill and Massengo immense as were the 3 at the back. Shame KP picked up a knock as with others able to do his donkey-work he has the creativity we've been seeking.

Decent, honest and hardworking performances from the rest and Afobe not only showed us what we've been missing when he was on but even moreso when he went off.

The Mock Mick was defensively tied up when he came on but for me didn't hold the ball enough or play the percentage game, though that's a minor quibble given we saw the game out.

Didgeridoo really needs to think about his future as even as a last 20 minutes man that simply wasn't good enough. He's there to compete and hold and delay and tonight he again did zip.

Fantastic result and performance City should be proud of. Lots of positives on which to build.

According to some belter on the WRDCFC forum "Bristol have done nothing".

Did I miss a couple of own goals then?

Was just reading there as well, few of them saying it and we were average at best.

Others quite complementary regarding defence though and shutting them out.

Our weak spots were our wing backs but they battled away like their lives depended on it and were ably supported by the three CBs and the midfield.

Weimann is an intelligent player and we will see the best of him now that we have a midfield worthy of the name.

An excellent away team performance.

Well done lads and to the Red Army singing their hearts out.

Derby lack a creative midfield and Josefzoon is a one trick pony .

They need to shift out their dinosaurs Huddlestone and Keogh who are no longer effective.

Brilliant result .

People still backing jack hunt! The bloke looked uninterested in both games against qpr and is an absolute liability defensively , as is tommy Rowe by the way. We will get ripped apart down the sides tonight , 4-1 loss.

Nice prediction Nostradamus.

In a nutshell.....two well taken goals, a solid defensive display, an excellent Derby goal made for a nervy finish. Massengo covered every blade of grass, great to see Moore, Kalas and Baker growing in confidence, too many long balls to Benik and then Fammy, thought Benik ran out of energy in the second half.

Great noise from the travelling fans.

We are certainly very much a work in progress so three points away at Derby, who we restricted to very few chances, brings a huge smile to my face!

Great win. Lee needs to drill into the players however not to hoof it to Diedhou. Starting to feel sorry for the man.

Prior to Fammy’s introduction I thought we were also hoofing too many long balls to Benik.

yeah we did it a few times with Afobe but a soon as fammy came on we resorted to every ball hoof up to him and he's just not good enough to hold the ball up especially with no help around him.. some thing LJ needs to start telling the team keep the ball by passing it around on the floor..
