Don't think FD and COD did anything tonight to make Lee think again .

Agreed. When Afobe and Palmer went off for Fammy and COD we looked so much worse. We stopped hanging onto the ball and stopped causing Derby problems. Could have done some attacking and scored again in the second half, as Derby were poor, but we let them back into it. Would rather have seem Semenyo come on than Fammy.

That cross from the left, FD didn't look sharp (or interested) enough.  Semenyo or Benik would have got in front of the defender, I'm sure !

Nobody seems to have mentioned Bentley, looks so confident and didn't miss a thing tonight, had no chance with the goal

Yeah he seems to be growing in confidence, was a bit worried after Leeds all a bit flappy and over eager but been solid since..

Might have sorted it by now, but only works via the app on mobile devices. Same login info etc - hope you can see the 2nd half!

Thanks for your help. Yes after a while I remembered that it only works on the app.... so I got there in the end. It’s a bit weird though and not brilliantly signposted on the official site.  Thanks again.

yeah we did it a few times with Afobe but a soon as fammy came on we resorted to every ball hoof up to him and he's just not good enough to hold the ball up especially with no help around him.. some thing LJ needs to start telling the team keep the ball by passing it around on the floor..

Tbf I think they had spent so long defending they had run out of energy a bit

Criticism of COD and Fam seems off to me. We started protecting the lead early on and asking Derby to break us down early on (which, bar an impressive strike, they couldn't). At that point Afobe offered little as we resorted to longer balls again. He definitely offered a threat on the break to get in behind but very little defensively. Fam comes on to the same service, he doesn't offer the run in behind but he tracks back and defends well (at least three interceptions around the edge of our box). Same with COD v Palmer - Palmer offers the killer ball but doesn't track/sit in to defend (although tjis side of his game has massively improved). Both COD and Fam came on and made better defensively and helped us see out the game. Would I start them over Afobe and Palmer? No I feel they are the better players but they both did their job and helped us get the three points. This obsession of bashing our own  players is baffling and disappointing.

Felt sorry for Famara. Afobe always had Palmer or Weimann right next to him to lay the ball off and interlink.

When Fam came on there was often nobody within 15 yards of him.

Doesn't excuse the general lack of effort shown, his limited ability is generally known and to some extent accepted  however when you see Weimann still running his bol!ocks off despite having already played 70+mins compared to Diedhiou barely moving for a 20 minute cameo it was infuriating to watch.

What's great about having Afobe, Palmer and Weimann in the same team is that they all share a quick footballing brain, meaning that they anticipate runs and bring out the best in each other.

We've got a couple of weak positions, but we've got some very tidy players indeed this season.

Sorry but it's comments like this that are just ridiculous. Wieman runs more than any other player for a start. But if you are genuinely trying to say Fammy didn't run and work hard after coming on you either have it in for him and are blind to anything positive he could do or didn't watch the game and are acting like you did.

He did however stop attempting to win the ball in the air after being man handled for about the 4th time in a row and the ref doing nothing, this was giving Derby players a free header rather than a contested one. Counted it 2 or 3 times later in the game ball in the air right by Diedhiou yet no attempt to contest it, didn't appear to be tactics to win the 2nd ball either.

Poor lads post match is drowned out by the Han Noah Massengo song !

"Could"? Absolutely the correct terminology but odd phrase to use. He could have but again and in truth, did nothing. His combativeness is woeful, man on man he's as impotent as they come (or rather don't.) He fell over twice, nudged by somebody much slighter and feigning he'd laughably been wronged. Contrast the guile of Weimann who in throwing himself to the turf cheated but was savvy enough to get his opponent cautioned. That the bloke from Knowle thought he was wronged when he nigh-on caught the ball...seriously.....

Not fit to lace Afobe's boots who did ensure their defence knew they'd been tasked in battle, closed down with impact and created openings.

Diggeridoo could be an option for the last half hour but not on tonight's performance.

A laughable assessment were it not so harsh. Weimann runs around a lot but I remember our fans slating him last season when the end product dried up.

Both Weimann and Fam have flaws at this level, of course they do. But to accuse Fam of a lack of effort is really poor in my view, not true at all...He's just a different type of player
