Very sad. 40 is no age and given my own similar health scare today at only slightly older an age, all feels very close to home. Thoughts to his family. RIP.

Dr Balls hoping you're able to receive the care needed to remain healthy.

Agogo was reported as feeling abandoned by former clubs, his national team and friends in the game after his health took a turn of the worse.

There’s a cautionary tale in there. I hope we are doing more to reach out to former legends/players - we have been famously bad at this in the past.

The Rovers Former Players Association was in touch with him a couple of years ago, to see what help they could offer, and were looking to get him to The Mem as guest of honor for a game.  I think that due to his health difficulties, he had not felt able to come to a match.

So sad for his family to lose him at such a young age.  RIP Junior.
