One upside to the injuries

At least those who would have gone on international duty can stay and continue their integration into the club and the area. Sometimes I think it can be more disruptive if a player has recently moved to a club and almost immediately is off again, either back to their home country or a completely different one.

There is still room for tactical sessions and team bonding in between treatment.

Looking at our internationals, looks like only O’Dowda will get a call-up.

Possibles:

  • Weimann - Austrian recall?
  • Williams - drop-outs?
  • Pereira - call up to Portugal u21s?
  • Massengo - age group call-up?

True. Also forces LJ into giving more game time to promising youngsters like Messengo and Moore...

Nagy got a call up to the national team. Rossi said there's a chance he might get fit and ready against Slovakia (9/9). If not then his presence is much needed anyway for the team.

As of last week LJ said we were still waiting to hear from the specialist so he seems unlikely to be back that soon.

I think what @Hunsupport means is that they want him around the squad for motivation (apologies if I`ve misunderstood). It says a lot about the lad if the coach thinks that highly of him.

I'm sure you are right. I doubt we would be keen for him to travel if he needs treatment though, especially if it turns out he needs an operation.
