That Legia banner doubtless a response to the Rangers 'Billy Boys' in first leg- Poland being a Catholic country too.

Hopefully UEFA will be even handed as Rangers had to shut off 3,000 seats for it. A chant they (Rangers) have been censured for in the past by UEFA, seemingly as far back as 2006!

rumours were rife before the first leg that Legia would do a pope-related show in Warsaw, I guess they instead chose to do it somewhere where it would have an even bigger impact. Was at the first leg, and in all honesty didn't hear Rangers sing Billy Boys (not disputing that they did, but barely heard them sing at all such was the din around the rest of the ground apart from when they were locked in for an hour after the match and the other stands had emptied).

They are stewards and not police officers. You see the police coming up from the tunnel 1m 10s in to the film

While you would know this being Sweden and you being there, they look pretty well equipped for stewards!

What do ours have- a radio/earpiece (some), a notebook (some) and a hi viz?

In Sweden it is no longer possible for the police to uphold law and order. Councils, football clubs etc. need to appoint stewards to protect civilians.

So stewards are routinely given batons to use?

What with the helmets that seem to he attached, batons and yes the yellow uniform, they could be mistaken for some of the riot police we can get in the UK at football from time to time!

Amazed to think they're stewards.

You may be able to enlighten us Tommy as to what led up to the actions by the ‘stewards’ because they look as if they are doing anything but protect civillians

Accepting upyou are saying these are stewards , but encountered too many Foreign Police Forces acting like complete ****s

I hate Celtic and their fans , but Based on that footage in isolation , their behaviour (Stewards) is a complete disgrace and would constitute a clear assault(s)  in this country

They are the clear aggressors in that footage and looking for confrontation , acting brave , and like thugs , because they’ve got batons

Continue like that and they will come unstuck

They are stewards. If you are not welcome you are not welcome.

I don't know what happened. I was in the opposite stand.
