OTIB Downtime - 13/09/2019 - 7PM

Recommended Posts

Just a heads up but I've got to do some wonderful networky stuffs over in Newport tonight (my kind of Friday night..) - OTIB will be offline for the duration of these works.  I hope it will be no longer than an hour, maybe a lot less.

I apologise for this outage and the subsequent pain of having to talk to your other half/children/go outside/buy unwanted stuffs on amazon.

Normal service will be back for you to moan when we're 1-0 down at 3.10pm tomorrow.

I’m on the Source in Cornwall, so perfect timing.

Then a quick flight on VPN airways to Montreal on Saturday afternoon.

Isn't that a coincidence? I'm on the 2-59pm to Atlanta with VPN tomorrow. Should be back home by 5pm though. :)

Listen to OSIB. If you find an episode where Rob goes off on one then it's basically OTIB radio.

Mine went down for 5 minutes earlier today.

I'm OK, but the girl on the 999 phone line was a real bitch about it :(

This isn't funny my Sky and broadband all died on my whilst at work yesterday.

They have to send a new hub and box, plus an engineer will come to fix a fault - all this to happen within TWO WEEKS !!!

Using 4G last night felt like using dial up again . . .

Problem is all my TV, music and lights are all voice (wifi) controlled . . ..

Blimey, that’s far too technical for me, on/off switch for lights & telly, vinyl for music.....

Jag tror att jag måste förbättra mitt svenska innan jag använder den webbplatsen ... :smartass:

I would say your Swedish is spot on 👍

Perhaps a bit old fashioned like my English but not your fault :)

I am ashamed to admit that I had a little help from Google...

Unfortauntely, my Swedish is limited to such complicated phrases as "Jag är en man" and "Ja, tack så mycket" which I don't think would get me very far on that website :w00t:

It's funny.

I have no understanding of Swedish but can still get the gist of what is being said from certain words

Regrettably, and for reasons that have no need to be revealed here, the only Swedish word(s) I know is:

'vandrande pinne'

It is a long story....

I've no idea what time Tom is taking the mighty OTIB down so I'll say goodbye now. It's been emotional and I'll miss you all greatly. See you on the other side. :crying:

Actually, I'll probably be half pissed by the time it's back up so stuff it! ;)
