Logging On From Overseas

Currently in Buenos Aires for a few months.  I couldn’t log on over the weekend.  I believe the site was upgraded on Friday?.  Eventually tried logging on through my VPN linked to the UK which self evidently worked.  Are other overseas users having the same problem?.  Also a question to Mods, was this a deliberate change or perhaps a problem you’re  unaware of?

Sorry yes, new firewall was what went in on Friday and it was set to only allow UK traffic. Have given it a good slap now and put in trusted countries mode. Unfortunately this includes Wales.

Yes i had the same problem on Saturday and Sunday and had to use my VPN, however today all is OK on the usual proxy, It must have been something to do with the upgrade.

Wasn't an upgrade as such.. well it was, but the firewall we use. Unfortunately it was set to UK traffic only, not knowingly set by me so apologies to all.

Couldn't get on from Friday night until this morning. Echo what others have said about the sense of loss/panic/existential despair. Got back on expecting to find lots of talk about the downtime, but nothing, so thought it was just me. I'm comforted that others were similarly inconvenienced!
