The two aforementioned have recently played, presumably to get minutes, but IMHO have not justified selection even in the U23 games and have denied "pathway" opportunities for more promising youngsters. I assume it's slightly different with home games and away games. With home games, we can afford to play a lot of senior players, as they can still be in and around first team training before and after the games. But for away games (especially those ooop north), the players that go are realistically going to be away from training for a couple of days, so we prefer to have those who are on the fringe of the first team remain in Bristol. OTIB vastly underrates him. He's not a world beater, but he is adequate as a squad player at this level. Works hard and is versatile. Don't understand the hatred of him.
