Free Kicks

Does anyone else wonder why Brownhill continuously takes free kicks when in a shooting position? I can remember him scoring one over the last few seasons. I’m not a big fan of the Ronaldo technique which he uses, believe it’s hitting the valve to create swerve & dip. Surely Elliasson or Palmer are worth a try. This is also not a Brownhill knocking topic, thought he drove the team on well today & worked his socks off. It’s just an observation. Que next game & a  thunderous 30 yarder in the top corner! With the ball at his feet running toward goal he strikes a great shot.

Dead ball not so good, but who else is there ?

I agree that Eliasson or Palmer could have a crack but we don't really have a dead ball specialist.

Didn’t Palmer score last season direct from a free kick? Believe it’s the only time he has taken a direct free kick. Elliasson has a wand of a left foot , always seems keen to take them, but just gets brushed off. First thing you have to do to score is to hit the target, Brownhill just doesn’t do that enough for me in those situations. COYR
