To me on this occasion the police who sometimes have a difficult job, got it badly wrong , as one statement i believe was from a officer . So knew they could lose the case backed down , which iam glad as it would be more expense to the tax payer. As for one nil i can understand ,as some of these might have been innocent people from what happened at walsall ,as i knew a few from that time who go to watch matchs for the football, and said some of the policeing was a bit over tbe top . Walsall x 2 in fact. Unsure which one you're referring to but 1989 and 2004...quite the track record for WMP and that's only the 3 most high profiile! Have we forgotten just how it has infected the English game? Especially in away tournaments , smashed up bars and assaults? We Bristol City have built a reputation around Cider, it is so woven into our heritage it seems to some that it's a given to boast about being pissed, and the amount of monica on here that have a connection to Cider Pubs etc rather proves that The young lad Messango was photographed recently with a couple of bottles of booze in his hand with the look of bewidement, I suppose the intention was to say his is 'one of us' the kid is just turned 18!! Seems like some have taken 'Drink Up Thy Cider' a bit too literally, I don't expect City fans to be abstainers, but I do think we need to calm down a bit and as I say be a bit more aware of how vunerable we are after a few, especially travelling away. OK I have got dogs abuse, fair enough, but it doesn't seem worthy of the message I am trying to convey that we need to be careful about excesses. WMP did over react, that is a given, but on the back of that feeling of 'winning 1-0' should not hide the fact that we need to be careful, especially our younger fans, I hope you can set aside your bias for one second at least and see my point. CTID peace and love. Yes, booze is an issue, but not in this case. A million other things are issues, but don't relate to this case either. Your points are at best hypothetical. The events on that day are not hypothetical.

I genuinely was beginning to think you were just winding fellow fans up on purpose to provoke a reaction but I sadly am beginning to realise that you are so wrapped up in believing that everything about this case/ city fans travelling away are related to alcohol intake and abuse. For the last time none of the 10 fans were guilt of any offence none were risk supporters alcohol was not a contributing factor to this case all 10 are innocent fans of bcfc just like you and every other fan on this site ( except miah obviously) As a police officer on this site I have had tricky conversations with people on here, yet I can still find it in myself to apologise when I get things wrong ( and have done) my personal view is that what you previously wrote about those fans was out of order and based on no facts just assumptions . You owe them an apology , not me, not the rest of the fans on here but those you are continuing to question .

Why? Because you can't argue a point without abuse, it's all you got, says everything about the narrow minded stupidness of some on here. What on Earth does childish name calling achieve when debating a point, it really does happen a lot on here, someone states that the atmosphere at the Gate is like a Library ...so he must be Gas WUM WMP Troll or whatever, but then again you and yours need to surround yourself with like minded souls, safety in numbers, just keep abusing and carry on regardless eh? He didn't call YOU a Gashead or Taffy, he said that you were worse than any Gashead or Taffy who has ever posted on here.
