Anything that will boost his confidence is much appreciated. Go Fam.

One in the eye for all those Fam-knockers out there

You're right, his below-average conversion rate from last season has suddenly disappeared now he’s playing in a friendly for Senegal.

Great news that he’s scored though. Go’arn Fam.

Aw don't kill the vibe mate. Let's just enjoy that a young lad from Knowle is living his dream.

This is almost up there with beating Man U. A Bristol City player has just equalised against Brazil. Let’s just take a moment to let that sink in.

I've only just recovered from Kalas scoring at Wembley. It's all too much. Need to get back under that radar.

Only a penalty though, so won’t stop the old guy behind me in the Dolman saying he’s rubbish (he shouted “Oh don’t pass to ‘im!” less than five minutes after Fam scored on Saturday).

This makes Fam a better striker than John Atyeo!!! 😄

(Big John put his penalty .v. Brazil way over the bar and clean out of the stadium)

Despite the jokes and stick that Fam will still get this is nothing other than brilliant for him and us.

For our name and stature as well as his value.

For him, his confidence will be sky high now and will push him up the ranks within the national squad.

Look at the team he faced WOW!

Senegal are quite handy themselves and tbh on paper I'm unconvinced he's their lead striker- Konate and Niang would both stake a strong claim for a start- nonetheless that Brazil side looks very strong indeed!

Great for him to start, great for his confidence- the cachet of a goal vs Brazil is certainly notable (penalty granted).

The childish point-scoring on here regarding Fam is just embarrassing - whenever he scores for City loads just can’t wait to post comments like yours above on the matchday threads (obviously not at the games then) and when he misses a sitter loads do just the same to criticise him.

It’s no secret that I don’t particularly rate him as a good striker - but the tit for tat posts like yours are just boring ...

If Fam played like he did for most of the 60/70 minutes he was on the pitch on Saturday, every week, then I think he gives us something, and he’d be backed by the fans.

This season there haven’t been anything like that type of performance unfortunately.  If Saturday was him turning the corner, aided by a confidence boosting goal against Brazil, then fantastic.  We really need him to start producing goals and performances.
