There  was live football that you could have watched tonight, for instance, I’ve just got home after watching Ashton and Blackwell v Wincanton Town. An enjoyable passionate game.

It’s Backwell and Ashton..............

I don't get the international football bashing.

I understand that there are pointless games and there are mismatches, plus of course the thorny issue of injuries.

OTOH, even not factoring in the obvious attraction of home nations there are interesting games, interesting groups out there to watch as neutrals IMO. We though either often get very weak and predictable groups or as with right now, are too good for our opposition, and a lack of competitiveness can detract from enjoyment. Mind you our group is possibly quite weak too?

Example.

World champions France...currently in a three way battle with Iceland and Turkey. If Iceland had got something in Albania even tighter but 3 points in it, no walkover, as France lost in Turkey.

Closer to home, NI, Germany and Holland- good group! Interesting to see the resurgence of Holland too.

Croat should win their group which also contains Wales- but also Slovakia and Hungary- the latter a local derby, again well matched.

Morell & Williams likely to start.  Unsure how to feel about this game.
