WhistleHappy
For all its obvious faults … ain't this a pain in the arse train we'd all love to see again? ….as iconic a part of Weymouth holidays as the Kings Statue.
New Dazzler
Brilliant, I remember getting on that after coming back from a camping holiday in Brittany, straight off the Sea Link ferry from Cherbourg, via Jersey and Guernsey. I made sure I asked for a ticket to Parson Street!

Guest
Classic video - the last time it ran I believe? The council threatened to dig up the rails a while back but campaigners stopped it happening.
Reigate Red
Used to love watching this as a kid on trips to Weymouth. Haven't been there in a long time.
Ronnie Sinclair
Weymouth was my second home throughout the 80's / early 90's - this is a scene I remember well

It`s looking very tired and worn out these days as I`m sure @BigTone will confirm. It`s like a lot of former seaside holiday resorts with more than it`s fair share of drunks, addicts and general ne`er do wells unfortunately. It`s such a shame as it has so much going for it really. I often wonder every time I drive through the town is why haven`t they made so much more of the area around the marina?

The area around the railway station is always crawling with down and outs and is not a good advert for the town. Love the place but there is so much they could do to cheer it up a bit. We sold our place there a year or so back.

Med/MadHatter
I used to like seeing that train go by, I used to live by the harbourside in Weymouth for nearly 20 years until I emigrated. Agree the town is jaded now, will still continue to visit on trips back to Blighty as my children/ grandchildren live there
