Major Isewater
The lad was unlucky not to have scored two on his debut. One excellent header from Elliason which hit the post and an unlucky offside . What he did show is a sharpness , an ability to get in the right places and a willingness to shoot. He also showed how continental players fall easily to the ground ! Massengo and Rodri will get quite a few decisions in their favour but poor old Fam rarely does . I suspect it’s because of his size that refs don’t think he can be genuinely fouled. Anyhow well done Rodri . Keep it up.
Bar BS3
An encouraging debut, during a spell when we weren’t playing great. Hard to tell what his all round game might offer, but he looks like he’s certainly capable of chipping in with some goals.

Hopefully, he bang in a bucketload of goal when he gets going. It's what we desperately need.
Eastside Moonwalker
Don't see why we don't give him 45 mins on Wednesday, been giving Semenyo more than enough time
italian dave
It was all down the other end so hard to really judge, but certainly he got the ball in the net, almost twice, which was more than any other City player looked like doing yesterday. I did wonder what difference he might have made first half when we had a lot more possession and better build up,play, but just seemed toothless when it got to the penalty box. Id be very surprised if we don't see him at some stage on Wednesday.
foghornred
The point about Fam is correct I noticed that Rodri got free kicks when pushed where Fam didn't as he was deemed to be the aggressor. Rodri looks a decent signing and hit the post besides having the offside goal a good addition to our squad.
redsince1994
What a start it would have been if that header had gone in off his second (?) touch. Time in the game where you would have fancied us getting back in it.
mozo
If he's showing the right things in training, I'd say he has to start on Wednesday. We need a renewed purpose vs Charlton and Rodri is one way to liven things up. I'd also rest Palmer and play Eliasson as our token flair player. But free kicks or no free kicks I hope he doesn't turn out to be a continental style diving diva, we're not known for too much of that sort of thing, and it doesn't go down too well at The Gate.. Lets keep it honest.
ExiledAjax
I'll be surprised if he starts against Charlton. Would like to see him play in front of Palmer. Palmer has been very off the boil since Afobe's injury and just doesn't play to his best with Diedhiou and Weimann up top. There's a chance that Rodri might be the guy Palmer needs. I'd try a Rodri, Weimann, Palmer trio. Might work, might fail but we need to change something up front and start creating quality chances.
The Bard
We have this bloke Eliasson who creates lots,of chances. Perhaps we should pick him more often???

Think we’ll see a back 4 Wednesday night. Pereira | Moore | Williams | Rowe - and that gives LJ scope to pick Eliasson.
