On a more sobering and serious note - noticed this story of a very young Gashead or at least the son of one , needing special heart surgery and trying to raise the money to take him to US for it

Should anyone wish to donate and help the lad and his parents

Deserves a thread of its own mate.

I don’t know how to link things from other sites but if someone a bit more tech savvy knows I’m sure it’ll get a supportive response.

Absolutely heartbreaking. Good luck to the brave little man. Will donate

Done. Hopefully the publicity around this will ensure they get a few sizeable donations to move the total along (maybe the Gas FC themselves can chip in with a few quid). £120k is a lot to raise although you would like to think in the Greater Bristol area there would be 12k willing to stick a tenner in for a great cause.

To be fair a lot of City and Rovers connections have been sharing the details on Twitter

That’s good and whilst there will be plenty of £5, £10, £20 and even £50 donations I think it needs a few properly substantial ones from business or fund raising events in order to get to the family to that £120k target they need. I’m sure they’ll get there.

A great gesture from all city fans who have donated, with this an the Fam story it’s good to see the club getting back into a positive light after the weekend

It would be nice if our local paper picked up that supporters of both clubs were working together on this

Us and Rovers supporters get enough bad flack at times, it would be nice if something positive was achieved for this lad
