Oh Louie louie
Do you guys remember when Roger cook opened a bogus 2nd hand shop on west street? I was working for a very reputable building firm based on west street at the time and we used to clear out houses where people had just left everything behind, for the council. We were always getting tellys, washing machines, etc the sort of thing you could sell to 2nd hand shops in those days. Anyway this 2nd hand shop opened on west street, and we were going there 3 times a day everyday for about a month. What they didnt show on camera was my mate saying we get all this from house clearences, and made out we were thiefs. We both ended up up broadbury road, and luckly the police and our boss saw the funny side of it. Do any of you remeber the shop?
The Dolman Pragmatist
Is that Roger Cook, the stroppy and corpulent retired investigative journalist; or the more svelte Roger Cook, Bristol-born writer of Homelovin' Man, Blame it on the Pony Express and Melting Pot, amongst other?
