Curr Avon
When England last won the Rugby World Cup on the morning of Saturday November 22 2003, City beat Barnsley 2-1 at Ashton Gate in a third tier fixture later that day; https://www.bcfc.co.uk/fixtures-results/first-team/200304-fixtures/ Sixteen years later our battle with the Tykes precedes the oval ball final by 13 hours, but let's all pray for the same results. East End Old Boy
As it’s Halloween this week, definitely a spooky coincidence!

Me and my mates had all been in the pub all morning for the rugby, I remember starting drinking at 9am! After we headed to Ashton gate for the football. By half time 2 of my mates had fallen asleep in the Dolman.
Lanterne Rouge
I remember driving up the M5 to Bristol for our game and it seemed like I was the only car on the road.
BS15_RED
23rd of November 2003, I remember that day oh so well, watched England win the World Cup in the morning, then Lee Miller head an injury time winner in the afternoon. There are days in your life that are really special, and that was one of the best of mine so far.
elhombrecito
For the past 16 years I have been convinced that we played Hartlepool that day, as I vividly remembering waving my England flag at Joel Porter as he came down the Atyeo tunnel, to celebrate our victory over Australia. Turns out, I must be mixing this up with some other unknown sporting victory over the Aussies, which just happened to coincide with us playing Hartlepool while I had an England flag with me for some reason
