The Tinkering Has To Stop

Our home form is killing us. Injuries aside we should not be changing formation and starting line-up to combat teams like Wigan.

They haven't scored in over 300 minutes away from home so we change formation again....what is this complete lack of confidence in taking our game to the opposition?

One up front against 5 awful

Wigan went 4-3-3 first half which is why we were so ponderous on the ball at the back. You did notice that?

They scored from two set pieces, what’s that got to do with shape?

“Our home form is killing us”

Last six at home:

P6 W3 D3 L0

Averaging 2 points per game. That “form” over a 46 games season would get us 92 points and promotion.

Of course it’s more than just about results and I understand performances are inconsistent and not particularly entertaining, but people seriously need to get some perspective and realise our home issues could be an awful lot worse. We have an injury-ravaged team and we are finding ways to get results.

And injury-ravaged is the key term here.

Totally scuppered by missing players. Diedhiou's suspension and needing to rest Massengo does not help.

Should we be looking at available midfielders on a short term basis?

Exactly. What “tinkering” did he do today that wasn’t enforced by injury, suspension or players needing a rest?

Speak for yourself you *****.they need to learn to pick him up then he done it twice.

That's still down to the individual meant to mark him, and has absolutely nothing to do with the formation either side used.

Your original comment about 5 at the back vs 1 up front was devoid of any intellect.

The dwarf plays negative and treats all average teams like they are Barcelona do you get that?.

Yet got another assist.

Ok, he can cross a ball and did set up the equaliser. But him not playing was not the reason we were poor today. 5 or 6 had an off day. You seem to have a sense of entitlement that we should be smashing Wigan. With the current players fit and available we won’t be smashing anyone. After your earlier rant you maybe need to take a step back and consider players we have out injured and how the side will improve when they are back and we can rotate players.

I have a sense of poor performance against a side that will be in a relegation battle.....yet outplayed us and if it wasnt for gavin Massey would have taken 3 points.

Not starting Eliasson for one.

Picking him could just as easily have been described as tinkering.

It does make you wonder what compels some people to post...!
Too much tinkering, so make changes to the previous starting 11 as the solution..?!
