Serious note I would have thought superior planning to have fans in one or a couple of pubs for those who like these things... Very much doubt 2k fans will go to ground at 10.30am- seems more sensible to coral into a few pubs but what do I know eh? To be fair South Wales police have tried , it works easier for policing as well. However I think the issue is that on a previous occasion a pub was seriously damaged by bcfc fans and unfortunately this is still at the forethought of the minds of some of the licensees . BTW, my street drinking post wasn't entirely serious! Wouldn't advocate such stuff. It is a possible law of unintended consequences thing though, save for the kickoff time though. Were it a 3pm it could be- there could be an increased risk in that scenario I'd suggest, with a minor one in this case.

This is the trouble, fans are gonna be hanging around Cardiff central until 11:30-11:40 when they'll need to get a taxi to the ground, what are they gonna do until then, drink and sing anti Wales songs on the street, which will probably antagonise home supporters more than if we were given one pub

A small one, but this is a foreseeable scenario. Maybe the early kickoff and on a Sunday, will put all that off.
Sir Geoff
I know I'm not much of a drinker (and in the minority) but is there really any need to be drinking alcohol anywhere at 10.30 in the morning. Me I'll be looking for a bacon butty and steaming cup of coffee.....where's the nearest Greggs ?
Montpelierblue
You should head down to the bay, only a few mins in a cab to the ground. Plenty of places to eat or drink. I don’t get why people need to consume alcohol so early either....

I can update then . No plan at this stage for a pre planned escort to the ground turnstiles and facilities at ground open from 1030 for home and away fans Really? I thought it would be better not to have boozed up fans in such a match, especially after recent events. What a crazy ****** up world.

Did you not specify you were going to a pub and then driving somewhere on a thread recently? I assume you were able to go into a pub that day without getting "boozed up"? Others can too you know

Its good enough anyway isn't it!? I remember the win over man utd, stone cold sober when korey netted,no drink or drug would come close to that feeling.
