Bristol Oil Services
In my paper today, he's reminiscing (it being FA cup weekend): Keef: "We had a really good side at York in 1985 and were demolishing everybody on our way to winning the Fourth Division when we drew Arsenal in the fourth round" Now, just the two problems with this: 1. In 1985, York were a Third Division side. And 2. When they won the Fourth Division, in 1984, they "demolished" us 1:1 at their place, and 0:1 down here. It's petty, it's pedantic, yes; it's all such a long time ago now, agreed; but it's also a foul, miserable day outside with no game for us today. And I just thought we cannot leave all this sort of thing to @BS4 on Tour... by his-self. In 1985, York beat Arsenal in the cup, and the snow and the ice, at York. They demolished them. We beat them in the league that season, home and away.
Davefevs
Scored one of the better FA Cup final goals for Cov in 87 or 88....diving header. Journeyman having his day...just what the FA Cup used to be about.

Think houchen just got his years mixed up. Was looking up to see if we had played carshalton (as saw they were in 1st round this year) in fa cup in early 80s, as thought we had but could find no record of it. Remembered corinthian casuals, Fisher athletic, vs Rugby and Aylesbury.
Oh Louie louie
Howard pritchard got a hat trick in the replay against casuals. And another winger saved the day vs vs rugby gary marshall.

There are people spreading falsehoods about Terry Cooper, Glyn Riley, Trevor Morgan, Forbes Phillipson-Masters, four points secured against the runaway 4the division champions, the 1984/85 season, and all you can think about is that magnificent header in the showpiece final at Wembley in front of the watching millions on television around the world? Was the casuals away game (renowned for their sporting behaviour) the one played at Dulwich hamlet's ground when 1 or 2 friendly Millwall fans turned up to greet the city fans? Oh Louie louie
I think millwall turned up at fisher and they did or at one point share with dulwich. I can recall us playing a fa cup tie at chelseas training ground i think? kingstonian? They used to be in the fa cup draw a lot the casuals, not heard of them in a draw for a few years.
