We aren’t that bad but 7th clearly flatters us. The only consistent thing about is that we are consistently poor but will grind more than any other side.

Are we that bad really? Perhaps West Brom are just better than us. Certainly looked that way tonight, they were excellent and we were crap. It happens.

Games against Huddersfield and Forest are the yardstick. Not West Brom away - but have to say individual errors and LJs first half tactics cost us tonight.

With a defeat likely at Fulham - next few home games are key.

Not supporting the ‘taxi’ but the flaws are clear to see. 7th totally flatters is @JoeAman08.

He has had a load of money to spend and yes, we have sold key players but that was embarrassing.

Not going to happen any year soon, and even if it did another exactly the same would be brought in...for-ever the nearly club.

Year on year progression and top half of the Championship, not that bad really. We lost against an excellent side that are high on confidence - sometimes you just have to admit we lost to a better team.

Looking at the bigger picture though we are doing pretty well - especially considering injuries. Chill.

We're really just an average, perhaps occasionally "decent" Championship team. We've been getting away with results recently - tonight was us finally getting a result to match the performance. I said back before the Luton game that I wouldn't be surprised if we lost 5 from the next 14 as our underlying stats showed we were poor despite at that point having lost only 1 of our opening 11 games. We're now 7 games into that block of 14 and have lost 2.

I'm not going to call for LJ to go but the crashback to reality is going to be rough for those fans who looked solely at the results from the summer and autumn games.

Were they excellent? I’m not so sure. They were quite good, we were shit.

Although a different sport when you compare the continual progress being made by Pat Lam and the Bears, it is a sharp contrast to LJ and City. The Bears improve season on season and seem to give most teams a game however high in the league. And Ashton Gate, for the Bears, is a ground where away teams know they will be in for a tough game. If only this was the case for City as well.

So we’re closer to 3rd than 17th

Whats your point?

Cardiff 1 shot on target

forest no shot on target

tonight no shot on target until 70th min

Plus everyone knows after Christmas we are always poor so we could we’ll end up scrapping for it
