Beanie Hat

Now, truly not difficult for anyone in the retail trade.

You’d think that any outlet would stock in the middle of winter/lead up to Xmas the most reliable seller since Club Shops were invented. Yep, the standard olde beanie or bubble hat.

Have we got one? Nope.

Hopeless, utterly hopeless.

You can get one for £29.99 in Tesco`s garage with a built in light so it would save folks having to turn on their phone lights.

Sew a City badge on and job`s a good `un.

And to think the same think happened last year

Beryl was virtually a one-woman band, organised away travel, yet still managed to run a well-stocked Club shop out of a friggin leaky portacabin.

There must be thousands of suppliers available for a beanie type product.

Beyond my comprehension. Still, suppose it’s part of our Bristol Sport DNA that we’re not very good at football supporter interactions.

We do sell one. It just looks like it's out of stock (maybe temporarily).

This does seem somewhat of an overreaction. You must really like beanie hats.

Ok slight over-reaction. As long as they’ve restocked in time for my summer holidays in The Canaries that’ll be fine.

Have to make-do with my flashing Xmas antlers beanie for this Xmas instead.

That’s all well and good but when you’re from North Bristol it’s not such a good look.

But it’s definitely a conversation starter! Let me know when you order and I’ll stick in some free stickers and a pin badge ?

In all serious a majority of orders come from outside South Bristol, ambassadors don’t need to explain their choice of gear.

Thank you @Seneca the Younger?

Apparently there may have been problems with the quality of the hats and they may have been sent back to the supplier. I managed to get one a couple of weeks ago after weeks of searching the website, if they’ve sold out already, they were probably low on stock in the first place.

And yet worthy of complaint. It’s coming up to Christmas, the shop should be fully stocked ready. I went in last year, maybe the year before, no Christmas jumpers , in fact I don’t think they had adult size shirts in stock. It has to be the best time of the year to sale all sorts of tat. We just don’t make the effort. And while I’m moaning about effort. The Xmas jumpers we did have were generic, a reindeer with a clubs name on. As our nickname is ‘Robins’ , you’d think they would make the extra tiny effort, I’m sure they would sale well.

Have we got a SLO who sorts these things out or has he gone AWOL like the rest of them?

Assume someone from the Club monitors OTIB as one of the listening devices for supporter feedback. Probably not though.

Oh for a rival to set up on matchdays in a pop up shop nearby to AG.

Did he ever get those socks, I wonder?

Let's just say someone organised a charity fundraiser up the creek, and borrowed kit from a community part of a club, when it was finally returned have a guess which parts of the kit were missing

Our stock and selection in the shop has been awful for years, you only have to look at what we used to stock in the little portacabin years ago to show what could / should be being sold by the club. What is amazing I am sure the younger supporters of our club would jump at the chance to buy some of these items

@RedRock Our new SLO doesn't start until Monday 16th December 2019, and yes members of staff from Bristol Sport are often on this site reading comments so they will be very aware of thoughts on the shop

I don't believe Bristol City is trademarked so anyone could make their own.

The new badge (and the old ones) is absolutely a registered trade mark. This includes being registered in class 25 (clothes).

Even if the club haven't trade marked the words on their own they could still easily sue you under the laws of passing off if you made and sold your own "Bristol City" hat.

That is interesting as I have seen lots of items being sold with the badge on

Joking aside I have never seen the TM logo on anything with the badge on

That's because you don't need to put "TM" on your goods for your trade mark to be valid.

I had the same issue last Saturday

Me in shop "have you got a City woolie hat please?"

Bloke in shop " we are hoping to get some in on the 16th December"

Me " what? not even in time for the Millwall & Blackburn games?"

Bloke " nope"

So I went outside and bought one of the "One Team in Bristol" ones from the fanzine seller

£12 good quality, bargain.
